If the Celts get to the ECF with the Knicks.. I suspect they're going to run the crap out of them. Also, will be interesting to see how they play Brunson.. because I just don't think the rest of the Knicks are good enough to beat the Celts or even Indiana really.

I'm not trying to call you out specifically, but there's been like 645 versions of this post across basically every NBA thread. If you think something, spend time on that thought. If you just want to say something that's been said a billion times, including by the knicks fans here, maybe do it for some specific reason?

The casual Knicks watchers here, who have what seems liek 5 games of experience watching this team have basically said celtics are better, brunson is the only good player, the minutes will catch up to the knicks, they're not deep enough, their quality of basketball isn't good....It's kind of becoming a circlejerk of the same comments over and over.

Dante really has to figure something out for the Knicks to have a chance at an extended playoffs beyond this round. He's been a 40%+ threat all season and has been pretty much stopped in the playoffs other than some moments here and there. OG missing a couple of stupid ass layups doesn't help his numbers there.

Not really, not any more than any other outlier run. Nobody went into this year and said... look at Miami... the solution is clearly to get scrubs to shoot twice their usual 3pt rate... BRILLIANT.

The idea that the Knicks are some testament to the value of not resting guys is silly.,,, especially given one of their best players is out for the year due to injury and their 2nd best player who they acquired via trade missed like 60% of his games.

Bogdanovic also got his foot tangled up with Batum diving for a loose ball in kind of a mostly unlucky contact play, 1 minute into his first floor time in that game. It wasn't a fatigue injury, anyway

I was referring to OG who missed most of the 2nd half of the regular season but happens to be back.

The point wasn't they got hurt due to load management or not, it was that nobody is looking at this Knicks run and saying "wow this team is so fit and healthy due to not doing load management, I should definitely take that as a lesson instead of the years of actual data showing the opposite."

It's not that I'm defending Thibs as much as the starters may or may not run out of gas but they ARE conditioned to 42+ minutes per game at this point. They can keep the tempo up when their opponents get tired. It is what it is. I don't think it's sustainable forever, but it's not like they're suddenly going to stop being able to play a full game.

I'm just having fun. I actually don't worry as much about player minutes as some here. These are monsters in their 20s and as you note Thibs conditions his players for this pace.

TJ McConnell can take advantage of opposition playing heavy minutes tho...

McConnell is an elite finisher, particularly in the paint and particularly at his size (see, e.g., https://www.reddit.com/r/NBATalk/comments/1bvkbr5/who_is_the_most_underrated_player_on_your/ - I've not verified the stats but it tracks with what I've read before). Other than being short and white, they really are two different players.
