I checked it and it was just the games the local was broadcasting. Here is what it says on website.

How can I watch NFL games on Paramount+?
All Paramount+ subscribers (Essential, grandfathered Limited Commercials and Premium) can stream NFL games on supported devices and platforms. As long as the game is broadcast on your local CBS station, it will be available to stream. On game day, watch via Live TV to catch all the action.
Thanks, appreciate it!

I wonder what that means if you try to watch the Pats from an out-of-market location, using an account that's in-market? Last year we were able to watch all the Pats games at home down here in SC using YouTube TV because I had my BiL create an account up in WMass. So when we logged in it gave us the local WMass channels. Sadly, at some point I think he forgot to log in frequently enough and YTTV geo-located our Roku and...poof. But maybe this would work, at least for the AFC tilts and any cross-conference games shown on CBS..

It looks like Sunday Ticket is "most likely" heading to Apple and I can FINALLY ditch the awful Sunday Ticket app next year.

Apple Reportedly 'Most Likely Winner' of NFL Sunday Ticket Rights, Considering Bid for UEFA Champions League Package - MacRumors

According to Dylan Byers at Puck News, Apple is now regarded as the "most likely winner" as Disney has dropped out of the bidding that could approach $3 billion per year.

As I learned at Sun Valley, and in subsequent conversations this week with sources close to the talks, the deal will likely come in significantly higher than $2 billion a year—some sources with insight into the talks believe it could come in close to $3 billion. This has effectively removed the cautious, ever-disciplined Disney from consideration, since its own bid came in under $2 billion. (Disney declined to comment.) Existing media partners, like Fox, Comcast and CBS, are also not in contention, I’m told. The race for the Ticket has therefore come down to Apple and Amazon, and while nothing has been signed or agreed to, I have been given ample reason to believe that Apple is the most likely winner of the sweepstakes—and not merely because I was told that Apple’s Tim Cook and Eddy Cue met with Goodell in Sun Valley.

As someone who is fully ensconced in the Apple ecosystem, I'm optimistic about this, especially if they'll finally allow single team plans.

I wonder how much Apple will charge for the Sunday Ticket. I'm in regardless. It would be awesome if they allowed multiple streams. Direct TV Sunday Ticket online absolutely does not.

Apparently not much less, if any:

Report: Apple the "most likely" winner of Sunday Ticket rights, at possibly $3 billion per year - ProFootballTalk (nbcsports.com)
Sunday Ticket allows fans to watch out-of-market games, at a cost in the range of $300 per season. CNBC has reported that the NFL’s deals with Fox and CBS prevent the Sunday Ticket package from being sold for considerably less than that amount.

Hope it's an ad-on to ATV+ but they offer standalone Red Zone. I am indifferent to the NFL but Red Zone is good background noise on late fall Sunday afternoons.

Right now, Direct TV has its own Red Zone and it's much worse than the NFL Network Scott Hanson version. The Scott Hanson version will not be on Apple, is my guess. But Apple could do their own version, like Direct Tv does now. They could just take over that studio.

My local cable compnay has includes NFL Red Zone. I am not sure I would pay for Sunday Ticket year round.

We like to sit down and watch Sunday Ticket all Sunday long (put certain games on the Ipad/PC)

True, DTV has given me Sunday Ticket free for like 4 years straight without me ever asking so I just leave it on that Red Zone.

I was actually going to called DTV last week. I called, canceled, got send to their VIP team and they knocked my bill down to $47 a month for 2 DVRs, no contract, Sunday Ticket Max, and their next-to-highest package. Couldn't say no so I'll have it again for another year.

Peacock Lands First Streaming-Exclusive NFL Playoff Game
The wild-card matchup will run on the NBCUniversal platform in January 2024.

The Peacock telecast is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on Jan. 13, 2024, during the wild card round. It will mark the first time an NFL postseason game has been exclusive to a streaming platform for a national audience (in keeping with NFL policy for streaming games, local NFC affiliates in the competing teams’ home markets will carry the game over the air).

The Peacock game will make for an NBCUniversal doubleheader on that day, as NBC will air another wild card game at 4:30 p.m. ET/1:30 p.m. PT (which will stream concurrently on Peacock). NBC also has a third game in the wild card round set for Jan. 14, making NBCU the first company to present three NFL playoff games in a single weekend.

I still have Comcast, and was probably going to pay for Peacock when they require it in a month or so, but this makes it a no-brainer.

I'm going to be really curious to see how many people actually get to see that game outside of the local markets.

For sure. I fully expect CBS to do something similar with Paramount+ next year if this results in a huge boost of subscriptions to Peacock.

Cable prices are ridiculous, but it figures that once people tried to get around them, the industry would figure out a way to draw the same blood by a thousand cuts that they used to get by opening up a vein.

I have that problem with Peacock, and I get it through Comcast. I find its interface so sluggish I almost always choose to watch shows on NBC on demand, which means about 15-20 minutes more per hour in commercials, rather than on Peacock, because that interface drives me crazy.
