NESN will show Red Sox home games in 4K HDR in 2022

If the games were on the NESN app in 4k, that would be amazing. However, if that were correct, I'm sure we would have found that out in the press release.
NESN and Xfinity seem to be heading for a bitter breakup. Werner wants more money a month and Comcast wants to pay less.

It would be one thing if the email came from some anonymous low lever staffer but this person is the boss.

If Fubo had TNT and TBS I would cut the cord now but they don't which is a problem because of the NBA and NHL playoffs.

Of course Xfinity still has me by the throat because they offer high-speed internet in my city and there is no good other option.

I hope you're correct, but I'm preparing myself for disappointment. Fox offers its 4K broadcasts through its app, but no other live broadcasters are doing the same as far as I know.

I want to love Fubo, but my biggest sticking point is the lack of TNT/TBS, especially during March Madness and the NBA/NHL playoffs. They also limit their HD broadcasts to 720p, so their picture quality is the worst of all the streamers.

Comcast still isn't offering NESN in 4k, but you can use your Comcast username and password in the NESN 360 app to stream in 4k HDR. Unfortunately my LG TV runs WebOS and it doesn't have the app, so I got a Roku Express 4k+ for just this. The good news is the Roku is cheap, capable of running the stream, and works with a Harmony universal remote. The bad news is you have to log in basically every time you run the app, which requires opening a random URL on another device and signing in with your Comcast credentials. This is probably how they're dealing with password sharing, but it's really annoying.

Picture quality is very good overall. I think the reds are a little too red and the batter tends to be overexposed, but it's a clear upgrade from the regular HD feed. I was able to see and hear the catcher's interference before the broadcast team did. I'll use it whenever I'm settling into watch the entire game, but will still go to the regular NESN channel on the cable box if I'm just checking the score due to the login issue.

Yeah, I've noticed this too. I've got a fairly well-calibrated TV and keep it in Filmmaker during games and the red home uniforms are usually poppin'.

I've been pretty impressed with the feed, the HDR looks fairly impactful.

I've had a similar issue. Clicking on any of the live programming won't work until I go to the top of the screen and over to Account. I don't have to actually log in and out, but if I click on Comcast (or Xfinity or whatever) I get a message asking if I want to log out and I just cancel and go back to the programming and it works. Easier than dealing with a password if it works for you.
