I've been waiting for an order of nearly 100 cheap Logitech webcams since late March for the nonprofit I work for. My dealer has been putting me off a week at a time, today he threw his hands up in the air and said he doesn't expect them at all. "All types are backordered everywhere"

Hoping the hive mind of SoSH can help me with this. We were supposed to be paying about $50 each for these Logitech ones. That's about my budget but I can push it a bit if we have guaranteed availability. Brand doesn't matter. Quality and price do.

Thanks!

There isn't much available given the national migration to working at home. Probably doesn't really help, but this ebay seller claims to have 10 Logitech C615 models on hand ready to ship.

You might have more luck buying a batch of used monitors that have integrated webcams if time is of the essence, or maybe switching to older webcam models with lower resolution.

Forwarding that link to my IT guy, thanks. They are for group homes and need to be mounted up high (out of reach) so the laptop is a great idea but it won't work for us. More details in the OP would have been useful

Anyone trying to set up a replacement camera for a lackluster one (or for a device that doesn't have one built in), might consider using an android.

I've not done it, but was searching for something similar recently.
