So many blocked shots by FDU near the end, amazing for different NJ teams to knock out Purdue in back to back years (a #15 and $16 seed).

Fucking awesome - that’s a bigger upset imo than UMBC. FD didn’t even win its conference or conference tourney.

Edit: their last regular season game they lost to freaking Merrimack

Why would you play defense in that situation....get a good 10 feet from every Purdue guy, let them dunk it and the game is over.

I feel bad for the big guy Edey but every other player should perhaps consider a different hobby

That's the crazy thing about college basketball, they play balls to the wall to the buzzer even in blowouts. It's nuts.

Christ even my alma matter Stonehill beat them 70-59 in late January and we’ve only been D1 for a hot minute.

My bracket is just DESTROYED.

I had Purdue winning the title and playing Arizona in the Final Four.
I had Providence going to the Sweet 16.

Wow. I may finish last

And they had to win a First Four play-in.
Yeah this is the key. It's possible, before the play-in games, that UMBC would have been a 15 (often America East is). But when you take two 16s and move them to a playoff, one 15 moves to a 16.

FDU was a 16 and a bad one. This is bigger.
