Kansas -10.5 was flat out dead all game until the last 10 seconds, when they hit two FTs and took an 11 point lead.

And then the E Wash backup guy just cruises to the basket with 2 seconds left and hits a floater. Can an almost lucky win be a bad beat? Possible. Thankfully, I didn't have a bet on that game.

The Gauchos had a chance to get that ball to half court. Or more, had two seconds. Instead, the guy just hucked it up from his own free throw line and had no chance.

UCSB should have won this one. Tough loss.

Yeah, that was a weird ending.

I feel for the UCSB player who missed the 2-footer on their last possession.

Huskies defending and rebounding well but can't shoot so far.
Can’t get the ball inside the three point line unless they happen to get a rebound there. Zero ability to penetrate with the dribble or pass. Won’t get to the line this way either.

UConn only drew 5 fouls, one in the first few seconds. Tells you pretty much everything you need to know. They can’t see through the matrix on the perimeter and are running out of time to figure it out.

UConn is just so infuriating. Shoot the first three available every single time because there is no penetration happening. Shoot over the defense early in the shot clock and either make it or hope for a rebound. There is no other choice and the only alternative is to let the click run out wondering why you never even got a shot. If you miss, so be it but at least you tried.

There. Is. Nothing. In. The. Paint. Shoot!

Edit— or that.

Free throws killed UConn tonight. After all that horrible play they still had a chance but bricked free throw after free throw.

No perfect brackets remain on ESPN, CBS, Yahoo, or SI per NCAA.com update. There were 3 left after the Ohio upset of UVA but they all had UCONN.

Abilene’s coach should put his mask on, just so I don’t gotta look at his herpes

I thought Texas played a great last minute, but a ginormous amount of turnovers let it come down to last possession, ticky tack foul, bad FT shooter drains two. Put yourself in a position to lose.

That kid looked like he’d never made two straight in his life and just canned them. Wow.

Sorry I meant at Texas. That’s probably the worst loss in program history - tough shit for a guy who has done shit before the worst loss ever.
Watching this game gave me the same feeling as the Kansas football loss. At a certain point I just hoped it would happen so I wouldn't have to deal with a coach this dogshit again. Four players on this roster will be playing pro basketball next year. He's never going to have a team this talented ever again. Pull the trigger and hopefully you can reel in someone like Musselman.

I feel bad for Andrew Jones. But I'm taking this loss better than UNC's. Hard not to like a 5-7 spark plug.

Not a great night for VCU, present and past.

That was exhausting watching at least 15% of 13 out of 15 games in a 14 hour period. (Except 98% of free throws and timeouts).
