Hard to complain with 0.6 seconds, but that tip play works so much better with someone going at the hoop instead of laterally/away from it.

I'm sure it isn't but Connaughton looks like he has a Terry Francona-level dip in his cheek.

Isn't it a basket interference if you slap the backboard when the ball hasn't missed yet?
Only if it causes a vibration while the ball is in or on the basket, or on the backboard.

What a game that Chrabascz kid is having.  A couple of huge 3's, and he's 8/8 from the line (as a 58.9% shooter in the regular season).

Roosevelt Jones is one of those names where you always have to say both his names whenever you mention him.

And Connaughton is making plays all over the floor down the stretch.

whatever song is in that Acura commercial, it's totally ripping off MIA's "Boyz". I don't mean "the feel" like Robin Thicke, it literally is the same melody

What Acura commercial was it?

That would be pretty spectacular, because she stole Where is My Mind? (the song from the lightning in a bottle Acura commercial) for 20 Dollar.

So there really aren't any cinderellas here... NC state and UCLA, I guess and maybe Dayton tomorrow?
If SDSU wins they would get the slipper. Same with Xavier.

It's a bit different, that was a sample used for a song in a different genre, and the wiki (I know . . .) says it's attributed in the liner notes so it was probably licensed or otherwise approved.

The song in the commercial is Don't Slow Down by Matt and Kim. I'm not sure if the webcast commercials are the same as on TV, but it's played in most commercial breaks on the webcast. I initially thought it was some kind of muzak-for-commercials remix of Boyz until I heard the vocals

Apparently Mike Brey's mom died of a heart attack Saturday morning. He just told his team - and the world - after the game. Can't imagine the range of emotions he experienced today.

Kentucky is just ridiculous. How are you supposed to beat them? They get all the rebounds. Huggins mind is going to blow before this game is over.

Arizona better not let the muskies hang around much longer. Need to get after it on defense, get turnovers and easy baskets or they are at real risk.

Arizona has no idea how to attack a zone. They are getting saved by the fact that a 1-3-1 is hard to rebound from. Arizona should just hoist threes and try for the offensive rebound.

False edit: Why would Xavier switch to man with 6 left? Crazy. Arizona will dominate them in man.

Based upon what I saw on twitter, I think there are people out there who thought they were serious.

I always used to laugh as these best college vs best pro comparisons as the college team typically had a couple starters and most of its bench consisting of players who would never be drafted or even in an NBA camp.....they simply weren't NBA prospects.

This UK team is unique in that it is the first college team in the history of the game to have 8-10 NBA draft picks including a half dozen first round picks a couple of which will be high lottery selections.

How many of these Knick players would be in UK's top-8 rotation?

Amundsen and Bargnani - Are either playing over Anthony-Towns or WCS at the 4/5? No

Galloway - A push at best vs Aaron Harrison and Booker.

Larkin - I'd give him slight edge over Harrison and Ulis.

Lance Thomas - Today a push at best over Lyles/Booker and I'm being generous to Thomas as he wouldn't be a late lottery pick this summer as these two may be.

Aldrich, Smith, Early, Acy - They are older and more experiences than UK's bench but an upgrade over Dakari and Booker? Let's not forget UK lost Poythress to an ACL who is also another NBA guy.

My point is that UK is different than a typical "best college team"......it is a compilation of 8-10 NBA players awaiting eligibility to enter the league. Normally a 15-win NBA smokes the best college team however that isn't the case today when UK would have some of the best players, including THE best in KAT, on the floor right now.

Yeah, I think people don't fully grasp how bad that Knicks team is. Kentucky definitely would take a seven game series with them.

I agree. I am with HRB. Usually an amazing college team wouldn't stand a chance against a pro team. But Kentucky has the size to hang with the Knicks. They could pull it off.

I watched this Knicks/Celtics game with a UK matchup on my mind. I concluded that in a 10-game series I'd expect neither to win 7 of the 10 and these would be very competitive games.

UK would really struggle with Larkin's speed and quickness likely necessitating more time from Ulis. On the other end Anthony-Towns would have a field day offensively with WCS perimeter defense being crucial.

Wish we could make this happen.
