This Duke team might be the most likeable he’s ever had. No real ego maniac, showboater or anything. If they play this good they’re going to be tough out for anyone.
This is a nice way of saying that Duke is lacking that arrogant white guy who makes a ton of big shots.

They have finally committed to at least try to defense in these last two games. If they continue with this focus on that end they can win games in this tournament. If they revert back to last week and prior weeks they could lose by 20+.

Yeah, MSU shot the lights out from 3 (11-19 until missing their last 3) and Duke still toughed it out. They play D like this next weekend and they’ll be playing for the chance to get to the Final Four on Saturday. Although I’d expect Gonzaga would beat them in a rematch.

He didn’t make a lot of shots, but the one guy that reminded me of the stereotypical Duke guy, well at least Wojo, was Davison on Wisconsin.

Purdue on the clock.
Yeah, what I was trying to say but maybe didn't do a great job of, it's not just that they lost all four games they played today, it's that as of 8:30 PM, those were the only four finals today and all had Big 10 losers. There is no way that has ever happened before in the second round of the tournament.

I wasn’t intending to correct you, just noting they have a chance for 0-5.

Notre Dame screwed on a couple no-calls down the stretch.
Yeah that's a tough one. Just under 10 minutes left, 2 points should have been taken away from Tech due to offensive goaltending, then refs stopped an easy layup by ND due to a shot clock reset. Then the final minutes it was full on hacking from Tech with no calls by the refs.

Auburn living up to their don't play well on the road reputation against Miami.
Not really a true road game given they’re just a 250 mile trip up I-85

Lot closer then Miami

one could have made a lot of money betting that none of Kentucky, Auburn or Tennessee would have made the Sweet 16

it’s been what, almost 30 yearssince Arkansas was the class of the SEC

The sweet 16 is not even set yet and as of now, the teams ranked 4th through 8th in the last coaches poll are all out.

The top three are still alive; for now.

There's nothing in all of sports quite like the NCAA basketball tournament.

6 mins left and Purdue has 35 FTs. OK, Jan.

But a good fight for Texas and I expected this loss. Get a PG and big man next year and let’s run.

Wow, 35-11 FT differential is insane. Generally I don't dig too deeply into your whining, because, well, that's your thing. But you're totally right about this one.

It's still a road game. And yes, it's been a long time since they were elite. I got to see them the first time they were elite with the Triplets too. Moncrief, Brewer, and Delph.
I think we might see Lurch back in the rotation to help Williams out against the Zags Lurch. Should be a good game.
Get on the Muss Bus! It's a fun ride.
