Shout out to the University of Virginia.

The competitive spirit you showed by kicking a 29 yard field goal to cut the deficit to 35 was inspiring. And the late touchdown against the 3rd string defense to get to double digits and make the final score a respectable 52-10 is surely something to savor on the trip back to Charlottesville.

Ok, credit where credit is due -- the announcer perfectly described Hurts's mindset there.

Auburn will live with being down 13-9, but Bama will live with that too -- they've allowed nothing on D, so they aren't too worried about a spectacular comeback.

Bama is -2 on turnovers and up 13-9 at halftime against the #13 team in the country. Opponent is universally deemed to be lucky to be in this position.

Expectations for this Bama team are unrealistically high.

Meanwhile, much respect for Adore Jackson. Mad skill on display for SC.

The optimal format for CFB is an 8-team tournament with automatic bids for the top 5 conferences.
I'd like to see this, but add a mid-major champ auto-bid, and also the caveat that auto-bid teams have to be in the top 15, in case there's a weird situation where a conference champ loses a lot of non-conference games or gets into a CCG because team(s) ahead of them have post-season ban(s) (like with 7-5 unranked Wisconsin a few years back). If a conference champ or top G5 team isn't in top 15 it would still go to an NY6 non-playoff bowl, and get replaced in the playoff by an at-large team.

Potentially huge officiating issue in Boulder -- thought Utah scored a kickoff return TD, but refs marked him out at the 3. Now 4th down from the 5.
settling for an FG was a real gut punch, but they kept calling slant passes. Maybe they should have tried a fade or back of the endzone pass instead, or even run it.

This Francois kid has taken the worst beating over a season that I have ever seen a Nole QB take.
