Holy cow, Steve Addazio is a madman.

Interesting to see how good each team really is. Neither team has played a quality opponent yet.

Boise's starting QB gets injured. JC transfer (Tommy Stuart) backup fills in admirably... but in the 2nd half, they burn freshman Brett Rypien's redshirt. And he looks sharp.
Looks like it could be four years of Mark's nephew at the helm. The lackluster Finley era over after 2+ games.

All world td catch by Michigan State WR, Burbridge.  One of the best you'll see all year.  Initially ruled incomplete, but overturned, because frankly, I don't think the refs believed he could have made that catch and kept his foot down.

Holy shit, anyone watching this Oklahoma/Tulsa game?   Oklahoma had a 3 score lead, and then fumbled twice, both times leading to long touchdown drives by Tulsa.  The 2nd one made the score 31-17, Sooners with 11 seconds left in the half.  Then Tulsa kicks off and they kick a designed line drive into the up man who wasn't ready for it, and they recover it, then a hail mary touchdown on the last play and all of a sudden, it's 31-24.  Unfuckingreal.  The teams have almost 800 yards of offense in the first half.

Some first half stats from the Sooners game:

OK QB, Mayfield has 316 yards passing and 2tds, and he's rushed 7 times for 69 yards and 2td's.
Tulsa, QB, Evans has 274 passing and 3td's.
Tulsa RB, Zack Langer has 19 carries for 114 yards
Tulsa WR, Garrett has 11 catches for 156 yards and 1td
Oklahoma WR, Sheperd has 5 catches for 112 yards.

And it's HALFTIME folks.

UCONN down 3 with 3 minutes to go, and driving down the field for the win.  Currently 2nd and 10 around the Missouri 30.  UCONN was a 23.5 point underdog coming in.

Maybe not.  UCONN takes a timeout.  Still don't know if they are going to kick it or go for it.  They have a freshman kicker that already missed one today from 49.  Might be asking a lot from about 43 on the road.

How can they call the kicker with an illegal block on the kicking team when he was just trying to make the tackle?

It was on the return after the int.

Yeah, but it was called on the kicker when he was making the tackle, not on MIssouri.  When the guy who picked it off was running down the sideline, he had a convoy in front of him and just the kicker to beat.  The kicker basically ran up and cut blocked the guy in front of the runner taking him and the runner out, and they called the kicker for an illegal low block.  The receiving team can't block someone below the waist on a return, but I didn't know they could call the defense for it while making a tackle.  It made no sense.

i was throwing things I assumed it was on Missouri. Not that it matters but I will ask how is that a penalty. They actually called it on Boyle. The guy who made the pass and the tackle.

What a brutal timeout by Syracuse.  CMU was unorganized following a sack and letting the clock bleed.  Syracuse lets them off the hook and calls timeout with 15 seconds to go.  CMU gets settled and throws a 27 yard TD pass.  Headed to OT in the Carrier Dome.

Shawn, if that's the case, then you're right.  Like I said, he basically dove at the legs of the blocker who was in front of the runner, taking them both out.  Frankly, it was literally the only thing he was going to be able to do to stop the touchdown, so in that sense, it was a good penalty.

Did Oregon bench QB, Vernon Adams, or is he out with an injury?  Just noticed backup, Jeff Lockie is playing the first half.

Ohio State already down 7-0, and Elliott fumbles it on 4th and short, Northern Illinois ball on their own 40 or so.

LSU up 14-0 after 1 and is dominating. Now just picked picked off Aub at midfield to start the second. Game could be over soon.

And as I type, the LSU QB gets their TE Jeter killed on a crossing route that was high and led the TE into a safety. Ouch.

Do they really have to have the audio of the guy moaning after his knee is busted?

Lesson for the kids: when you make a play, give a little fist pump and move on to the next one.

Also, can we now classify the full-body-turn-around-high-five as one of the worst things to come along since the wave?

Leonard Fournette is unbelievable.  He is just running over Auburn defenders like they're Pop Warner players.

Holy crap.

Normally, colleges create their football teams. But now we have the story of a football coach who created a college. It's an online school called College of Faith in Charlotte, N.C.
...
The closest thing it has to a campus is a small room in a rundown church. Students plop their football pads in a corner when they come here to go over Bible lessons and game tape. The games can be tough to watch. The football team hasn't scored a single point against another four-year college. It was held to negative 100 total yards in a game this season, an NCAA record.
...
The degrees are not accredited. College of Faith Charlotte has a religious exemption that allows it to operate without a state license.

Wow is right. This seems like a huge scam. What is the 500 player fee going to? Esp if one game is worth 'thousands'?

I found this long form article on reddit about this team. Apparently their conference consists of the CoF and their rival University of Faith. Same scheme run out of Florida.

Holy crap.  OSU fumble.  Northern Illinois is going to get the ball, down 7 with around four minutes to go.

Fumble by OSU. NIU has the ball....how did the refs call that runner down?

I was going to say the same thing in my post.  I'm glad the rule was changed and now it's allowed to be reviewed, but that should never, ever have gone to review.  That was such a clear fumble that the refs who missed it should have their stripes taken away.
