ND loses and they are out of the playoff. Playing USC and clemson is not enough to overcome losing to a mediocre UVa team. Every major conference is rooting hard for UVa to hold on as ND in the playoff with OSU basically guaranteed a spot meant two others spots for four conferences

Rutgers Wash state just had ridiculous TD by Wazzou with 30 seconds left to take lead but kid may have stepped out of bounds. CRASY things everywhere

Wazzou TD called back, so they they score three plays later.

big10 deserves everything they got in Rutgers

Texas isn't relevant right now, but is Oklahoma any better? I mean they've sucked a lot lately

The B12 is only TCU and Baylor and I'm not sure either is particularly good

ND QB, Zaire, ruled out for the season.  That will likely end their playoff chances, even though they have an easy schedule.

Tennessee seemingly had a comfortable lead, 17-3 in the third quarter. Oklahoma had just turned the ball over. Change the channel to South Carolina - Kentucky, come back to Tennessee-Oklahoma it's tied 17-17, late in the fourth. What the heck happened?

OU's defense really stepped it up. OU's offense began to rely on its running game, which is far better than its passing game. Ugh about the QB; I kept waiting for Stoops to put Trevor Knight in. OU's QB situation has me thinking nostalgically about the Landry Jones Era.

Two good drives by Oklahoma, Mayfield found his stride, and they scored with 40 seconds left on a beautiful throw and catch to Sheperd.  Sooners have all of the momentum right now.

Sort-of off-topic... I'm happy to see that my student, Eric Striker (OU linebacker), is having a good game. He's a true student-athlete; he earned a B last semester. I expect he'll do the same this time around.

Texas looks bad. Apart from one decent drive led by Heard, the scores have been generated by punt returns. And the defense, after some initial success, can't seem to stop Rice's running game. Outgained 223-157, outgunned on first downs 15-7. Going to be a challenging second half.

Tennessee/Oklahoma trade TD's in the first overtime.  Sooners had to score theirs on a fourth and goal, on a beautiful QB keeper play by Mayfield.  On to overtime No. 2.  Nothing better than college overtime.

As  a UConn fan, just want to mention Rutgers lost in heartbreaking fashion and Randy Edall's Maryland team gave up almost 700 yards to Bowling Green and got blown out at home. Oh, and Louisville lost to Houston

Sooners win.  They score a td on three plays in the 2nd overtime, Dobbs throws a pick on 3rd and 12, ballgame.

It's bizarro world Charlie Strong Longhorns. Offense and special teams destroy the opposition; we dread seeing the defense on the field.

rough day for the sec eh? Too bad the JSU coach gagged that one away.
Officially fuck the SEC day. 10 teams in the top 25 my ass. Auburn "ties" Jacksonville State. Arkansas, who somehow was ranked 18 despite going 2-6 in conference last year, loses at home to Toledo. Even Alabama didn't wow versus Middle Tennessee. And Tennessee, Butch Jones? Oh yeah, they're back.

Thankfully we have the final 4 to shake things out. I'm guessing it will take a few years before voter"s muscle memory to get back to normal so they don't reflexively select SEC when give a choice between an SEC team and one that likely kicks their ass.

So sick of this SEC bullshit, I hate Ohio State and I think TCU deserved the 4, but I'm happy things panned out like they did last year. Bury the hype, play the games. See how many championships the SEC has in the next 5 years.

They can't stop the run. The line gets no penetration and the RB or QB always seems to get past the line to the second level. We're winning due to turnovers and some bad passing by Rice.

I don't disagree with you that the SEC gets a lot of undeserved hype, and 10 teams in the top 25 was a complete joke, but let's not get crazy either.  The top of the SEC is as good as any conference in the country.  Alabama, Georgia, LSU, 'Ole Miss, A&M have looked good too..Top to bottom, I love it when people knock the SEC down a peg or two like they did today, but there is still no real denying that top to bottom, the SEC is probably the best conference in the country, and if not the best, certainly no worse than top 3 (I can see an argument for the PAC 12 and maybe the B1G), but that's it.

I can point to just about every single team that's struggled through 2 games this year.  TCU didn't look good last week, Baylor gave up 21 in the first quarter and a half to Lamar University today, Ohio State was only up 14-0 at halftime against who today?  Howard?  It's still very early, but when your bottom feeders are teams like Vanderbilt, Kentucky and maybe South Carolina this year, and they can beat more than half the teams in the country on any given day, it's a pretty damn good conference.

I was wondering the same thing.  It happened right in front of the ref, too.
