As far as Poeltl is concerned, I just scanned Twitter and this is the only thing that came up from a blue-checked account:

Also, teams calling #Spurs about Jakob Poeltl, asking price too high. May come down as Thursday’s deadline nears.... #NBATradeDeadline @CNBC #sportsbiz

Judging from the Spurs' fans' responses to the tweet, Tatum + Memphis pick might get it done. I haven't watched the Spurs much this year, so I really wonder what this guy is doing to merit Smarf-like fan reverence.
he was part of the Kawhi trade, there may be some irrational feelings around Jakob and lies about his value

Yeah I saw something on a fanblog site saying the Hawks were asking about him but the Hawks have reportedly been asking on everyone. There is no indication that Poetl is available. He would fit nicely in Boston but there is no indication that he is actually available.

People are free to discuss whatever they want on a messageboard but we may want to carve out a thread for people to propose their own trade ideas and go down that rabbit hole versus analysis of sourced rumors and reported trades. Just my thought...

Poetl would be behind both Theis and Kanter on this team, wouldn't he? I am not seeing a fit at all with him
Yes. I mean the guy is a rotational big which I think most people would agree the C's could use. On the other hand, there seems to be a pretty big range of opinions about the priority of the need.

And again, there are no credible reports that Poetl is actually available. We have gone down a rabbit hole off the back of people playing GM for a day.

I was assured all year that his TS% made him a stud, and that NBA front offices would act accordingly.

Top-3 protected in 2021 is a decent asset though.

Gosh, have to give Minnesota credit, getting rid of Wiggins and salvaging Towns happiness is nice. Kind of like Spellman as a deep bench, small ball 5 on the cheap.
