In that article there was an update with the headline "Update: Horford announced that he is vaccinated."
Also in that article is a direct quote from Brown, "Last year, I missed the playoffs. I had a season-ending injury with my wrist. This year, from a competitive standpoint, I’m excited and ready to play against anybody. As a vice president of the Players Association, it’s a part of my job description to protect our players’ rights and our medical privacy. So, you won’t hear me comment on my status or anybody else’s. But that’s how I feel about it,”

Why can't we just take him at his word that he isn't comfortable sharing? There are so many reasons to think he is vaxxed - from the announcement of his "breakthrough case" last fall, to him giving a Ted Talk last month at the 'Quin House where according to their policy updated in February anyone who enters has to be vaccinated.
Any reporter worth their salt would call the organizers of that TedTalk or the Quin House and question them on Jaylen's vaccination status, someone there had to see Brown's vax confirmation card. You don't exactly need to be Woodward & Bernstein here

BUT you know it's much easier to create headlines & make wild-ass speculative comments for clicks. NBA media blows and why most of us traffic on SoSH for NBA/Celtic takes. Even local outfits like CLNS are borderline unlistenable.

I come here for this exact reason, I just don't post much because my NBA knowledge pales in comparison to the experts here...I guess I've been quite triggered by all vax talk about Brown. People seem so desperate to create controversy where I just struggle to see any.

Shithead reporters and talk radio morons are desperate to create controversy, because clicks and ratings mean continued employment.

The consumers of the drivel have varying degrees of immunity to it.

There are several hoop savants in the Cellar (ie adv metrics wizards like bowiac, coaches like Reggie, ex-players/Vegas odds guys like HRB, cap wizards like nighthob, etc) so don't hesitate in posting if you have an opinion or have a question. Those guys & lots of others can be helpful, just don't take it personally if you get hit with some New England snark ;)

Somewhat unrelated to above, but related to "NBA Standings"....

Supposedly Lakers want to get Nick Nurse. If you are him, how much do you need in guaranteed money to take on a crappy roster, suspect ownership, and Lebron's controlling nature? It's got to be a massive check if you're going to risk a great situation and leadership with Toronto doesn't it?

I just seems like such an odd fit. It is tons of exposure, and potentially big money - meaning they have the pockets - but aside from that, it's really hard to see the motivation, but of course, those reasons are very often the reasons people do things.

I agree. Better be some serious zeroes in that deal. I get the Lakers as historic franchise thing, and even California taxes are probably better than Ontario ones. But that org seems like it's a year away from hell.

Remember when folks here said "who cares if the Lakers trade away a million picks and swaps if they're all in the low 20s?". Well a lot of those lost picks look like they might be in the lottery now.

Nevermind the Marx brothers ownership.

I don’t know who would be a good fit in LA. The easiest would be someone who really isn’t the coach, and just does Lebron’s bidding. Maybe, maybe there is someone with so much gravitas that even Lebron would have to listen to him or her - like Pop - but hard to see anyone in that situation wanting to go to LA. Let’s face it, that team is going downhill despite having two of the best players in the game.

Someone is going to convince Lebron that he has a chance to be Bill Russell by being a player-coach.

I will say that LeBron the player remains great and focused, and he’s been a shrewd operator and overall fairly self-reflective (he admitted The Decision was a bad idea!). So I can’t rule out that he realizes an empowered coach is only hope of another ring. If he persuaded Nurse that was his vision that changes everything because LeBron is the ultimate alpha player if he’s focused on leading.
