I'd rather take a wide open 3 than go up against 4 guys in the paint with someone the size of Lowry.

Not sure he had the vision for it, though. He was committed to taking that to the hole. Fair enough.
No doubt any open look is ideal in that situation however the way Brooklyn defended the inbounds pass destroyed the Raptors spacing which left Lowry on an island to create off the dribble.

Also, there absolutely was no foul on that play. Brooklyn defended that perfectly from the moment the official handed the ball off to be inbounded.

Final cumulative score of the series: Nets 1070 Raptors 1070.
That is crazy.

Very good series. Toronto played their hearts out. They are the exact type of team that Brooklyn struggles most with.

If the Nets can somehow beat Miami, I will be rooting hard for Indie. The Wizards are the same type of athletic squad as Toronto.

And so the stretch of scintillating, awe-inspiring, heart-pounding, must-watch-until-the-final-buzzer NBA playoff action comes to a screeching halt.

Yup. As usual, the Spurs ruin the fun. At least the next round looks very promising.
It's only an 8-possession game with each team having another 80 or so possessions.

Halftime, 68-46 Spurs. Parker is killing the Mavs so far. 24points, 9-12fg, 6-7fts.

Let´s see if Carlisle has a last smart idea remaining...i really doubt there´s much left for the 2nd half with this huge lead, but let´s see what will happen when TD and Parker will sit in the 3rd quarter.

Seriously, Gary, the NBA ought to hire you as Executive Vice President of Applying Lipstick to Pigs.

That was awesome. Carter went in for a dirty forearm and got a dirty elbow to the face in response.

Best first round and maybe the best overall group of playoff games in the history of the league. Hope the trend continues onto the next round of match ups.

A Lost Time
In the past few years I remember Danny trying to trade for Chris Paul (before he went to the Clippers), David West, Mayo, Deardre Jordan and Eric Bledesoe. It's this sort of stuff that make me think he's a good GM.

Spurs in 5 -- never underestimate them.
Thunder in 7 -- going to be a great series.
Heat in 5
Wizards in 4 -- (I would have picked them to win the series before tonight's game started, but going with the sweep admittedly influenced by the first half of the first game).

Ainge tried to trade for Paul before he was even drafted. The trade fell apart when Pierce refused to play if he went to PDX.
