Toronto totally let Cleveland steal this. Can’t believe this garbage team is probably going to make the ECF.

That was an unfortunate loss for Toronto but anyone writing them off based on one game hasn't paid attention to Cleveland. Yes, they have LeBron James but they have not played at this level consistently all season. Its conceivable that Toronto steals one in Cleveland but as I said before, they need to tune out all the noise that will be coming their way. And there is sure to be a ton over the next few days. Good thing there is only two days until the next game.

The issue is hackneyed but damn it seems to be true: Toronto turtles under pressure, especially when Lebron is involved.

I'm not writing them off, and they can definitely still beat this Cavs team.

However, they've been exposed pretty heavily in the playoffs, and are probably closer to needing to blow it up than they are to a championship.

WTF are the Pelicans doing? You have Anthony Davis, and Golden State is starting to get it going, and instead of working the offense that's been working all quarter, you come down and shoot 4 consecutive 3 pointers with about 22 seconds on the shot clock, and brick them all badly.

I'm not writing them off but just look at Kyle Lowry's face. That man looks haunted and that is not a good look for game 1 at all.

Lebron had a triple double, Tristan Thompson had his best game in ages, Korver and Smith were good, and they won by 1 in OT.
If you want to look at it that way, sure, but I think it could also be said that Lebron can actually play much better than he did (he was 12/30 from the floor for 26 points, which is dreadful for him) and Kevin Love was invisible on offense (3/13 for 7 points). Korver, Smith and Green are all capable of playing like that for a few games in a row (Korver was only 7/17 from the floor, and 5/12 from 3). And it was on the road against the #1 seed. Now, all they have to do is win their home games, and they win the series.

The Raptors had so, so many chances to win that game. Same old Raptors.

I just hope it's a 7 game series, with every game going to OT-- and Cleveland wins. If the Celtics can get past Philly, they will have home court against the Cavs.

This. Again, as others have pointed out, Toronto has a reputation and you can bet they are aware of it. But a win on Thursday followed by stealing a game in Cleveland - and the Pacers won one and could have won more - makes this all ok.

But I dont fault anyone for not believing.

In other news, someone ought to check on SRN because I think he is going to hit four hours before the night is over.

Curry looked gassed and a step slow after his initial flurry ... at yet is still +15 (net +27) in his 12 minutes.

Yeah.. looked worse than it was for me, but GS is going to get the flagrant.

edit: ball don't lie.
edit2: exciting to see Green get away with all the crap he does though.. must be nice to foul someone five times and still get a double T when they finally retaliate. Guy has never had to pay enough consequences for all the stuff he does.

I would say him missing a finals game that likely cost his team a title was a pretty big payment.

As a side note, I love Perk vs Drake beef and Rondo (Rondo forever) vs Draymond beef.

The NBA, where petty beef happens

What is Drake's end game going into the tunnel? An early death?
I have no idea.

Perk is a man and he is reputed to be actually tough vs an AAU tough guy. Maybe Drake wanted to make up with him...

In any event, this doesn't happen in any other sport. Its silly and fun.

Did Rondo actually touch him there? He took a big swing, but I don't think he did.

edit: foul on Iggy not on Durant.

I would bet that they don't love each other but Rondo and Draymond have mutual respect. They are both just more competitive than your average NBA player.

I can state for certain, without a doubt, if Toronto wins the next four games, they will win the series.
