Mike Conley is signing the richest contract in NBA history. Let that sink in for a moment.

Conley is a good player at a premium position so him getting paid isn't a total shock. The Mozgov and Turner contracts, on the other hand, are the ones suggesting that things have gotten cray-cray.

espn: Justin Hamilton, a journeyman center who was playing in Spain, will receive a two-year, $6 million contract from Brooklyn, his agent said.

The Hawks can't bring back Bazemore and Horford after signing Howard so I think it makes it more likely that Horford signs with Boston.

If the Hawks let Bazemore to keep Horford, how are they going to manage a front court of Howard, Horford and Milsap? It will be like 10 games before Howard starts complaining about not getting enough touches.
Bazemore just got ET money from Atlanta, so Horford is on the move.

I honestly didn't know he was in the league anymore
He was pretty solid for the Wiz last year in his typical "3 and D" role. Not really sure Suns needed to go 10M per for him but, hey, he's one of the league's good guys so happy for him.

Before this offseason, no NBA player had ever signed a $100 million contract without making an All-Star team. This offseason, three players have agreed to such deals (Conley, Beal and Batum).

The clippers tweet was a joke.
People are making fun of Broussard who said Durant was "blown away" by Clips presentation.

31 year-old Luol Deng to the Lakers, 4/72. Should help the Lakers next year- good for the Nets tankathon- and shouldn't move the needle too much down the line, even if his knees hold up.

That's what she said.
Good for Utah getting a big name at least. But it creates more of a log jam. They have four point guards Alec Burks and the amazing James Young, I mean Rodney Hood....

I'm rally just bitter we didn't draft Hood over Young. Nothing but a dig and Young here.

Will Dirk leave Dallas?

They miss out on the Big FAs (again). He opted out of his contract, so will he sign a new one for the Mavs?
This would be bad for him (losing 2years and probably no Playoffs, as he wants a 2year contract), this would be bad for the Mavs (keeping them out of the Lottery, when he´s basically their best player and the lower West Teams are improving a lot/Suns, Wolves, Lakers). OTOH, he didn´t want to go to another team (staying there until he retires) and the Mavs also wanted to keep him until he retires, ofc.
Is it finally time to leave? Which team(s) would fit: which could take him (does he play for minimum money at another club, too?), where would he go?
Would he consider retiring to never wear another shirt? He just played a superb season (relative to age and money) and just recently said he wants to opt out of his contract to sign a new 2year contract, so I guess retiring is out of the window. Do you see that as a possibility (family, return to Europe,...)?

Dallas is his home. He might visit Europe, but he loves Dallas and Dallas loves him. He might sign with another team for a year or two, but rest assured he'll be in the front office working with Cuban the moment he hangs up the jersey.

I wouldn't be surprised if he is wearing Rockets red next year. Good fit next to Harden, but just a puddle jumper back to his family.

The rumor around these parts is that the Warriors will go after either/both him and Gasol if they miss out on Durant.

4y 72 is the report from woj

Wtf are they doing. How do you play all these big guys?
Vucevic is surely going to be used as trade bait for backcourt help. I'd imagine Nicholson is gone as well. They are one deal away from some real good roster balance and a signicantly upgraded team.

Portland reportedly prepared to make large offer to Pau Gasol. I know I'm on an island on this one with only a couple exceptions but this would have to put Meyers Leonard in play once the dust settles on the Unrestricted FA.

Biyombo got less than Mozgov? That surprises me. Mozgov did look good after the trade to CLE, what was his deal last year?

They already declined his QO a couple of days ago. The Biyombo deal is good, but the fit is a bit curious.

Mahinmi to Washington 4/64- good value, but can he play with Gortat? Marvin Williams stays with Charlotte, 4/54, which is an absolute steal in this market.

Eric Gordon to Houston. That smallball lineup of Harden, Anderson, and Gordon could conceivably give up 160 points one night.

Someone said Williams took less to go back to Hornets. Had bigger deals from other teams (Nets) but you're right that is an amazing steal of a deal the way other contracts have gone.

Magic have Vuc, BB, Ibaka, Gordon & Jeff green to give minutes too. Someone will be traded before the all star break, if not this summer.

Will easily be one of the worst defensive teams of all-time.

Like Anderson as a person and what he can do offensively but you need a strong defensive team around him, which Houston is not. I don't get the Gordon love, he's so fragile. Weird to think Morey looked at last years Pelicans team and thought he needed to get as much of that team as possible.

If Dell Demps had re-signed both those guys many would have been rightly calling for his head.

It didn't work, but apparently Houston brought Harden, Olajuwon, and Drexler to their meeting with Bazemore.

Yeah, Gordon has averaged 52 games / season in his 8 year career. Must be a giant pain in the ass to deal with his injuries. Poor Capela is going to need a respirator by the 2nd quarter every game trying to cover for all those poor defenders.
