Seriously? Do you understand the complexity of the motion they run?

Yes. What I find exciting about the NBA is players like Russell Westbrook and Lance Stephenson, essentially the antithesis of the Spurs. To each their own.

what an utter embarrassment for the Heat.  Destroyed on their home court and totally embarrassed most of the series.

What did you think of the '70-'73 Knicks?

Before my time.

Again, big congrats to the Spurs and their fans, I was sure Duncan's title days were done but somehow those guys hung around while Buford managed to put Leonard and Green and fucking Boris Diaw around him. Fantastic team, well-deserved title.

Or even he isn't capable of beating a team this good singlehandedly.

I am far from a Miami fan and am thrilled that they are going to lose, but this statement is 100% true.  I just don't get the Lebron hate.  He has done everything humanly possible this series, except for the end of game one if you want to count that.  It just proves that one person can't carry a whole team.

Can you hear that? That's the sound of millions of Heat fans buying their new Spurs and LA Kings jerseys.

The Spurs embarrassed the Heat in this series. Score one for the old guys!

Well, 22 year old Kawhi Leonard is going to get the MVP. His insane burst starting in game 3 was what overwhelmed Miami in the end.

You missed a great team (that I hated) that moved the ball with a precision that is not often seen. They were a great team, and one of the teams along with the old Celts, the '80's Celts and the Walton's s Trailblazers that played the game beautifully.

The young guys were instrumental, but the core of Duncan, Ginobili, and Parker are what carried them here.

This was the team to really came to mind for me in comparison to the Spurs' approach.

There are many reasons - post-2011 press conference, the Decision, the prediction of winning more that 7 titles in Miami, the constant whining, the asking out of games, the quitting during games, the pouting about his teammates, you get the point.

Yeah, I was unfortunately only 6 when they won the 1973 title, I started following them around 1979 or so.

Im pretty shocked a team with the athleticism of the spurs was able to handle the west and the heat so easily. For me, its an indictment on how bad the quality of the game is today.

Was that camera on Lebron going to the locker room on some kind of dolly? if not, pretty impressive backwards walk.
no, I think that was a person doing a backwards walk.

Like 2010, Lebron just doesn't want to try and win a championship himself. I think Spoelstra decided not to even ask Lebron to try, so he sat him the last several minutes (even though there was a small chance of a comeback)

I really do.  Manu's so fucking great.  He's so enjoyable to watch.  I have never got the hate.
He's up there. I'd say top 10 all time nba floppers and its really egregious. I love his energy and spirit but he has always been a professional flopper

Sure.  But his flopping is balanced out in my mind by the fact that his athleticism is fucking wild.  I love his creativity.  He's a joy to watch on the court, even with his flopping.

Setting aside my utter hatred of Wade for a second, I am genuinely pleased for the Spurs. I'm glad Duncan got another one and I've enjoyed the hell out of watching Leonard on and off the court.

IMHO LeBron sitting out the last three minutes was extraordinary. He was like a dog that rolls over on its belly and concedes. Can you imagine MJ not being in there, or Bird or Russell?

More like last 6 minutes?  I firmly believe that Lebron has made a rule to himself: if my teammates can't contribute, I am not going to do it myself.  So I can't blame him at all for not insisting on going back in.

Is James tired or disinterested? He's not getting back on either side of the ball.
He played 42 minutes carrying the team offensively while chasing around the other teams PG essentially shutting him down. I'd say he was pretty tired and knew he had no help from his teammates to come back from 18 down.

LBJ has to consider leaving. Wade looked done this series.

And if he does opt-out, that leaves Bosh and Wade with interesting decisions.

I'm also wondering how LBJ breaks it to Bosh and Wade that he wants new teammates.

If LBJ, Melo, and Bosh all opt-out, it will be a circus this off-season.

I love how people are holding his 2007 season against him when, as a 22 year-old, with nearly-cooked Ilgauskas as his best teammate, LeBron basically ended the Pistons' run. The Dallas criticisms are fair but LeBron has been amazing the last 3 years. And there was no Ray Allen shot if LeBron doesn't drill the 3 before it.

I think a bunch of the LeBron criticism is bogus, but he was actually terrible towards the end of Game 6 last year...multiple turnovers and missed shots. He bricked a three badly and they got an offensive rebound, and he banged the next one in. Hardly a clutch moment.

LBJ's a great player, the shit he gets here comes from 1) the Decision, 2) the Celts loss to them in '12 (and being screwed in game 2 of that series)  3) Ray-Rays defection, 4) Pat Riley, and assorted other sour grapes- like refusing to wear Jordan's #, but taking Russell's #), the Mt Rushmore stuff, etc.
So fuck him, watching him lose is fun.
