Confused what the people saying Ime is having a bad game want him to do. He has literally no bench right now.
Yep PP is unplayable, grant can't get it done, White is an enigma. They just have about 5 players. Those 5 can't play 44 mins and then toss in 3 fouls on 2 of them and he's really out of cards. People are mocking it but next up would be Nesmith? Theis? It's a problem when none can come in for some minimal offensive spark. They don't have a Poole or anything close.

GS went on 52-25 run to end the half after dropping back per the graphic.

They ain't that much better. Maybe tonight but not overall. Clean it up, go om a run, and make it a game. See what happens.

If they manage to come out and draw close or even take a lead... can't let up. They did that before in this series and it was just foe show as they got smoked after
I agree with this. Let Tatum cook and lock shit down.

What does the shooting ability of his teammates have to do with anything?

I mean, the refs could be uniquely bad about something that only one guy figured out to do so well that he does it every time, or they could be calling it in line with the fact that the NBA allows moving picks on very nearly every pick.

Golden State may run the particular play more often, but calling it this way is not at all out of the normal distribution. The refs will occasional whistle an egregious one. That’s it.
You're right.. But, I don't think I've seen them set a single legit pick. Payton and Looney are particularly egregious because they move out into the defender after Curry goes by. Payton has thrown out his hips into the defender a lot this series.. and that's usually called. Looney's picks have also been egregious.. I don't think there picks are typical for the league.. they've been a lot more noticeable to my eye.

Here
The thing with the bench is they’re missing wide open shots. Like you can’t say it’s all GS defense, the Bucks had a better D but the bench showed up.

Tatum has 10 FGA. A premiere star in this league would have 25-30 when this game ends. I know he’s an excellent passer but this is the moment he needs to take the F over and score.

I'm thinking I should probably should stop giving a fuck about 538's predictions from now on.
Remember the 538 "analysis" that claimed the Pats didn't fumble so they therefore must be doctoring the balls. 538's sports predictions are nothing more than idle chatter wrapped in a cloak of statistics.

I’m going to hold off on further Ime criticism because he might ride the starters for basically the entire 2nd half.

I think that they're young (at least their top few players are), beat up, injured, tired, and under a tremendous amount of pressure and likely feel awful about the way things are going. I don't think that they're a bunch of apathetic assholes.

I’m calling Portland about Damien Lillard and see if you can use smart among others to try to get him. He’s over 30 and coming off an injury plagued season.
The new GM in Portland is inexperienced and has a proven ability to give away talent for less than value. Worth a try.

I couldn't agree more. This isn't on Ime. PP, Grant, and White being -67 combined in 28 minute is... not great.
Ime played them all at the same time for seven or eight minutes when the team didn't score at all. Brown was on the bench for that whole time I believe? It was a weird lineup choice..especially for so long. (Smart and Tatum being in foul trouble doesn't help, but I think in an elimination game you just have to play your guys so it doesn't get out of hand...on the other hand the refs tonite have called some really awful calls on Tatum)

538 is if the jerking off motion became sentient and created a website

Then stop congratulating yourself.
To be honest, it wasn’t about that at all. It was about the fact that GS is actually better than Boston, so while we can be tremendously disappointed, it shouldn’t surprise us that GS is about to win the series.

I think there’s something there, but I suspect that its more that they set them at a higher rate, and their ball handlers are absolute fucking assassins at using them.

The Celtics set a handoff high pick and the ball carrier weakly crosses over while backing four feet further from the hoop, and then vaguely dribbles toward the zip code of the screener. The Warriors ball handlers fly at the pick the second it’s set and attack directly forward or into a step back jumper. Immediately, with no laziness. Hell, the ball carrier bumps the screener half the time.

The secondary guys ran out of gas about game 3. Other than periodic TL production it’s been miserable from them. Never would have gotten past Milwaukee without them, and the longest any have played into the summer by far , and it’s showing big time

Everyone has missed a ton of open threes. GS's D hasn't been all that great.

538s prediction was largely based on how the Cs steamrolled the league while the Ws weren't healthy for large stretches of the regular season. Then the Cs started playing longer series and got banged up while the Ws largely coasted through the playoffs.

Ime’s fucked without a paddle. What’s the better option than playing Tatum/Brown the remaining 24? Because it sucks but it’s herpes vs. gonorrhea. That isn’t his fault. I don’t think he’s been without fault this series, but still, this is one fucking hell of a 2-7 off suit.

Disappointed so far. Just really. I expected a fight I could hold and hang my hat high on. Either way. All the credit to Golden State though. Much respect, can appreciate a team that isn’t afraid to twist the knife on the eventual cadaver of an opponent, with a deep gash after properly administering the melatonin.

FUCK!

Exactly!!! If you’re acknowledging the bench is awful, which everyone is in this thread, then you have to acknowledge that the rotation pattern of basically playing them all together is pretty damn stupid
