I wonder if Denver can top this. Mudiay, Faried and a number one for Kemba and Kaminsky. Charlotte gets a lottery flier in Mudiay plus a pick and Faried for salary purposes. And Denver gets their long sought PG with very good scoring ability plus Kaminsky who is a body who occupies space.

As a side note, Denver should be kicking themselves for the Lyles for Mitchell swap. Lyles doesn't suck but Mitchell is exactly what Denver needed...
Only way CHA trades Kemba is if one of their bad contracts is stapled along. Kemba is the 6th highest paid Hornet. They have cap issues.

So is the thought that Thompson + other salary + BRK pick head out to a third team, which sends expiring salary + a worse 1st rounder to LAC, which sends Jordan to CLE?

Would much prefer Walker if the BRK is involved if I was CLE

Marc Stein reporting Spurs have discussed Danny Green and a 1st for (an expiring) Avery Bradley. That sounds crazy to me. Seems like Green is still doing what he's always done- high level 3&D- why give up a late first in order to downgrade to Avery? Do they want to get off his $10 mil player option next year?

Yeah, I don't get that (rumored) move at all for them. Green's bigger and better than Bradley, and a longtime cog in Pop's system. The only areas where Bradley may bring something extra — ballhandling and playmaking — are well-covered on their roster, between Parker, Murray, Manu and Mills. Throw in Forbes and Paul and they're already fairly overloaded with guys 6'-4" and under.

CLE has said that they would only trade BRK pick for young, cost-controlled player. Maybe it's CLE's own pick they are going to trade.

Had forgotten that CLE had traded 2019 pick to ATL for Korver. That pick looks pretty valuable right now.

It’s top 10 protected and converts to a #2 and doesn’t convey in ‘19 or ‘20. So it’s basically a pick in the 30-35 range in the post-LeBron years.

I could understand if they felt they needed someone to guard the likes of Steph and Chris Paul, but advanced metrics (and the "eye test" for that matter) rate Murray as one of the best defensive PGs in the league. Even if you think the offensive upgrade from Murray to Bradley offsets the defensive downgrade, you're gonna give up a great wing defender and a first rounder?

More Woj:

--Cavs and Clips trying to bring 3rd team into talks for DeAndre Jordan trade
--expect a strong pool of buy-outs after deadline, so many teams are willing to stand pat today

And more (vague) Woj -

Woj also just tweeted that CLE and LAL are working hard on a trade. I'm guessing probably Jordan Clarkson.

Best troll job Woj has ever done. People are gonna flip out until he clarifies it's not LeBron.

Holy shit. Cavs get Rodney Hood AND George Hill. Sending Crowder and Rose to Utah. Joe Johnson and Shumpert to Sac.

I have complete faith that Ty Lue is the perfect coach to integrate all these players during the season.

I don't get why Utah OR Sac does that.
Sacramento gets off the Hill contract, which they were desperate to do. Utah gets a Hood replacement since they weren't interest in bringing him back this summer on a new deal. It's not awesome for either team, but it makes sense.

According to Woj Cleveland has traded all fourteen roster players not named Lebron, the water cooler, and Koby Altman's desk.

SAC does that for salary relief. Hill wasn't playing there anyways and he signed a 3/$57MM contract last summer.

CLE is taking on long-term salary to make one more run. I haven't seen the cap numbers but I suspect CLE will be in luxury tax territory next year even without LBJ.

Not sure why UT did it but it does get a cost-controlled piece in Crowder.

Wade to Miami is a head scratcher. What do the Heat want with a washed goon when they have one of the NBAs toughest men?
