At some point, Cashman must consider the future. The top prospects are mostly a year away, except for Refsnyder. What moves can the GM make this season, understanding that several big contract players can't be moved and must continue to be trotted out there every day.

My suggestion is Cashman make a dent in his left-hitting lineup by trading Gardner, one of his few good value players, in terms of contract vs. production. Who needs a CF or LF? And what could the Yankees get in return?

There is no rush to make a deal. The Yankees aren't going anywhere.

Pretty much everyone is under contract for 2016, so if anyone is going to go, it's going to be because NY has a prospect forcing their hand. Refsnyder replacing Drew is the most obvious move, but not until Ref shows he can field his position competently.
