You're arguing just to argue. You are implying there is no difference between someone having the name "Grugier-Hill" or "Ochocinco", and someone jumping on a fad and adding "Sr./Jr./III" to their nameplate.
I'm saying a) their legal name might actually be "Odell Beckham Jr" or "Robert Griffin III' (and I believe both actually are) and b) what the fuck do you care? Is this really impacting your viewing enjoyment? Do you lose sleep over this? Who gives a shit? Let them put 'McCrapStain' on there if they want. Does it bother you when they're socks aren't pulled up to the proper height? Jesus fuck, getting pissy over the suffix on their jersey is exactly the point of this thread. The NFL or fans worrying about dumb shit like celebrations or uniform violations.

If you doubt just how serious this topic is to me you clearly haven't read the thread closely enough.

(Is this what it feels like to be CoRP?)

How about MD? Or DDS, if Bill Lenkaitas I mean Jim Lonborg made a comeback?
Well clearly that's different, in a medical emergency you'd want to know who you could count on. This is why I'm also for making all doctors on long-haul flights wear comically-oversized sombreros - it just makes everyone breathe easier.

While I have the floor, I think that if a player's hair is long enough to interfere with the opponents' ability to read the number on the back of their jersey they should be required to wear it up. Otherwise they have an unfair advantage.
or that the hair be treated as part of the jersey, in terms of potential penalties.

I'm all for stupid pet peeves. This is one takes the cake though. Good job guys.
Some red-zone/short-yardage RB should change his name to Daylight Savings, so that when the team was down on the 1 yard line, the fans and announcers could say "Get ready to spring forward, it's Daylight Savings Time!"

I dunno about a pet peeve, but Muhammad Sanu putting Sr on the back of his jersey so no one confuses him with a toddler... actually never mind. That makes sense.

I'm for the suffixes on the jerseys, if only for the possibility of Mississippi State draft prospect Justin Senior naming his son "Justin Senior Junior" and putting "Senior Sr." on the back of his jersey.

Maybe a son of Ochocinco will play, as 'Ochocinco Dos'

And, 250+ years from now, one of Tom Brady's descendants can wear TB 12
