Sorry if I missed it but Is the Mobile app gone?

just got a new phone. Think Sosh was fine on the old phone. They downloaded everything and the ICON is there with a Cloud download symbol.
I click on. It says loading then "Unable to install SoSH, App is no longer available"

Go to the App Store Search for SOSH and Sons of Sam horn..... nothing.

What am i missing.

Been gone for years. Surprised it was still working on your old phone. I use a separate browser for SoSH plus a couple other random sites that dont have mobile apps. Just keep those windows always open.

Yep, the app's been dead for a while. It was materially worse than the mobile site, and Tapatalk kept making changes to break things and drop support for sites like SOSH. It kind of still works for some people who have a previous install, but whether or not it does is pure luck and it's deteriorating over time.

Nip in 2019:
Just to reiterate folks - the app is NOT coming back. It’s in life support - tapatalk no longer supports it as their new model is having you bring your forum to them and letting them run/own that. F that noise.
On Android you can make a separate desktop icon for SOSH that'll take you straight to the site; I presume you can do the same in iOS.

Can we stop forcing people to repost all the text from Tweets now?
I know that when I read at work, everything from Twitter, FB, Instagram, etc. was automatically blocked. Most (all) financial services companies block those sites because they can’t effectively monitor them for people disseminating potential inside information.

In that case, I would be reading from my phone (cell data, not wifi) instead of using my work computer.

So if I’m on SoSH on my computer during work (75% of my scrolling time and as someone whose company blocks social media), I should read a thread then, if someone posts a tweet, grab my phone, load SoSH, find the thread, find my place back in the thread because the thread is marked as read then read what could be a useful or useless tweet. That seems materially more difficult than hitting copy and paste twice.

Maybe don't use your work computer for sosh if the tweets are an issue. When I was working in an office I just got a phone stand and set it next to my monitor for exactly this reason.

It's probably better for your IT department not to know how much time is spent on sosh anyway (that was part of my reasoning in addition to the Twitter stuff).

Or I can use a computer that’s at my fingertips on a website that works fine for all but like 10 posters.

My company also has like 55k people. I don’t think they care about me surfing a random message board during work hours.

I thought the other reason to copy and paste tweets is that when tweets get deleted (as they do at times) at least people know what was in them.
To me, that's the only reasonable reason. I know there are a few that can't see tweets, but I actually find seeing the content duplicated twice as a reader.

At this point, I'd actually prefer *only* a copy/paste, were it not for losing the link to the tweet for a few times that I actually click through (on purpose).
