So, if Allen gets the first two outs in the B8, do they walk Baez to force Chapman to bat?

Gotta wonder if we are gonna see a shift back to multiple innings from closers even during the regular season.

No. They would be worn out by playoff time. I would be shocked if teams employ this at all during the regular season. That said, the idea of using your best RP earlier in the game for an inning may become more widely used.

If there's one Cleveland hitter with a swing for Chapman's fastball, it's Kipnis

I think he was serious originally, but is trying to cover it up with jokes (he just posted an identical tweet re: Bill Murray).
He's a funny guy, but he blew that one. Vedder has sung the anthem at Wrigley a number of times. He even called out the Red Sox at Fenway in August b/c he's a Cubs fan.

I think Chapman was thrown onto the field during the Patriots game today

See, I think he was being post-mod sardonic ... that he was tired of hearing about Vedder being a Cubs fan, so he was reacting with mock surprise

Anyone getting a vibe here like Cleveland is "fuck it" like the Royals last year against the Mets? Indians are playing with house money and using that to play with the Cubs' minds.

I dont think he can pitch a 9th. These last two innings have been high stress.
