Who was that who said this series would not go back to Cleveland the other night? I mean, technically you could still be right if a meteor hits the earth or a zombie apocalypse overtakes the North Side but otherwise, in the Tribe's bullpen we trust. And Tito. Tito is a motherfucking death dealer.

Well, technically, it could be over without playing another game in Cleveland

Soler as the goat on the basepaths. Pitiful. Benintendi had his moment against the Indians also with a throw. How do these guys not do every little thing they can? Taking nothing for granted.

Also now Tito can pitch Tomlin in game 6 if he wants. Has options. If they win tonight with Kluber I think this is ovah

The Coney Island of my mind

Clears Cleaver emailed me thus - video of strike zone last night. Egads!
Looking at the zone maps at Brooks, the Cubbies got the outer edges all night (esp against RHH), although it looks like the Indians pitchers just didn't throw there. Indians were on the losing end of missed calls on pitches in the zone, though.

I'm not quite as convinced of the favoritism suggested in the video, although it certainly wasn't a good night for Hirschbeck.

Postseason wins

Terry Francona 37
Casey Stengel 37
Find that these records no longer reflect much meaning, Casey got all his wins in the World Series. Records that were set prior to Wild Card, ALDS, ALCS and the WS games should be separated as only World Series records. It is like the Post Season HR record held by Manny with 24. Mickey Mantle has 18 but they were all in the Wold Series and Manny or any other modern player is not close to that.

Yeah there's no chance it's over until it's actually over. The Cubs are still the best team overall and they can easily run three in a row.

Agree. Geez, they just won three in a row including two on the road to win the pennant. Think there's a lot left in this series.

Prices on the resale market for Games 4 and 5 of the World Series in Chicago plummeted on Saturday morning after the Cubs' loss to the Indians on Friday.

When Game 3 ended, the cheapest seats to Games 4 and 5 were $1,900 and $2,400, respectively. By 12:08 p.m. Central Time on Saturday, seven hours before the first pitch for Game 4, the cheapest ticket to that night's game on StubHub was $1,475, a drop of 22 percent.

Game 5 dropped even more precipitously because the loss assured that if the Cubs were to win the World Series, it wouldn't be done at home. The get-in price on StubHub when Game 3 ended was $2,400. By Saturday afternoon, that ticket was $1,500, a decline of 37.5 percent.
