I decided to do an analysis of where the ball has been hit this year given that the shift is no longer a thing. Please note that I do not have all data! Enjoy and hit me up for any spatial reports you may want

It feels a little unsatisfying to not have the infield broken up at all, if the idea is to analyze the lack of a shift. Additionally, I would suggest getting last year's numbers, so that a comparison can be drawn.

Agree. Maybe you get more info if the infield is broken up into 6 or 8 slices or somesuch. Terms like "left field" and "right field" are good frames of reference, because we know what they mean, but for what you're trying to do in this case, not really helpful.
(Easy for me to say. You're the one doing it.)

Thank you very much for offering to show us the results of your work, and for enteraining our suggestions. I'll add one, in case you don't have enough to do so far: could you include a split of the data by batter's position in the box? That is, batters hitting from the left-hand side of the batter's box, or the right-hand side?

And I'll second the request for similar data for any previous year(s). That's a very good idea.
