Yes that graph is misleading; they need to include top-line revenue from all sources, including revenue from regional television networks like NESN as well as revenue sharing from MLB contracts.

I don't think they have any idea what overall revenue is. The note at the bottom indicates their estimate is purely from lost ticket sales based on 2019 attendence and average ticket price. This doesn't seem to indicate any concession revenue or merchandise. It also wouldn't appear to lost revenue due to lower NESN ad revenue either.

It's basically a single pie slice of a much much larger pie.

I think it's only misleading in that it only estimated ticket revenues lost, which the title does not indicate. It's a bad headline, not necessarily a bad article.

Even if it's only ticket revenue, I can say for certain that they're under on one team by about 20%.
