MLB desperate to convince terrified fans that baseball will go on without Jeter.

Jeter will raise him from the dead before they sign off.

Nice question, Erin. Way to make that non Derek Jeter question about Derek Jeter.

Glad I'm not playing the Derek Jeter drinking game. That last barrage would've killed me by alcohol poisoning!!

best part of the coverage: While Perkins was interviewed, seeing some exec talking to Mike Trout near the mound/HP, giving a sense of relief that Jetes wasn't going to win MVP

worst part of the coverage (apart from the ballwashing/sucking off) : Kapler not using the Jetes rinky dink hits to right field to sneak in a 2004 reference.

Have to wash the taste out of your mouth with something...

Though I imagine his probably tastes like the finest caviar or some such given the lengths some people will go for it.

I know they do this at most (if not all) all star games, but does anyone else find it absurd that they give the MVP a car?  Does Trout need a vet?  Can't they donate money to a charity of his choice instead?

Giving a car to a multi-millionaire really pisses me off

The only good part about this Jeter coverage is knowing how much it pisses ARod off.
A-Rod is throwing some lavishly expensive, sexually bizarre Midsummer Night's Dream party, where nude transgender nymphs are running around the apartment while he barks orders in a custom made Louis Vuitton centaur suit. I am your All Star nymphs. Bow down.

Holy Fuck, this, in some form, will be on Cinemax next spring. Cindy from the Brady Bunch can do the background music.
