So what ACTUALLY gets me about the Montana argument is that the Conference Championship Games are, in fact, Championship games. It is a big f’ing deal to win that game.

And Montana I think is 4-3 in those, so 8-3 combined. Brady is 9-4 I think,
so 15-7 combined. I mean 8-3 is percentage points better but no fan or player on earth wouldn’t trade it for 15-7.

Any word on how he lost the over/under on the number of Mets wins based on the crazy home run by Dom Smith who had not played since July 26? That would be great to hear any audio of his remarks regarding his lost bet? Or is it another case of "lost" tapes?

He brought it up in a humble brag during a show opener. That was his only loss out of his 6 picks.

Leaving in a bit to the studio :)
AMAZING clip for yesterday (for those who don't follow Funhouse):
View: https://twitter.com/BackAftaThis/status/1189347938725703680?s=20

Caller asks a 58-second question about tanking in the NFL.

• Mike completely ignores the guy as he plays with his phone.

• Mike's answer has absolutely NOTHING to do with the question (Mike opines on overturning calls or non-calls with video review).

When he goes so far as to swear on his kids ... you have bingo.

Everything about this is hilarious.

I like how he used the gas release as if to give emphasis to the word “but.”

The people whom I go out of my way to avoid in this world are the people who have no ability to laugh at themselves. Mike could’ve laughed this off and it would be over.

Yeah, he Streisand'd it. It would have blown over in no time if he'd just let it.

Pretty heavy on his use of "morons" so many times. And nice how he avoids the very simple explanation of why they didn't fix it in post IF it happened: no one noticed until it was pointed out by one of Funhouse's followers.

It was also nice that he informed us why "The President" rails against fake news all the time. Apparently, it's all just about getting page clicks. That's really been eating at me. Thanks Mike.

He never should have went back to his old slot and his app was a disaster. Weird that Russo's post breakup career was better but here we are.
He should have done a weekly TV show with less hours so he could devote more energy to it. The grind of daily afternoon drive was the worst possible career choice for him at this point in his life.

It boggles the mind that this guy not only earns a living behind the microphone, but that he was actually brought back after leaving. His oratory skills make me see him as the Donald Trump of sports talk radio.

Despite so many callers wanting to discuss it yesterday and today, Mike has refused to accept what a big deal the Astros stealing signs is. Mostly, it's due to him not having, or not accepting, the facts of the case. He simply won't even listen to anyone trying to tell him that it wasn't off the TV feed, but was a private CCTV camera that went straight to the dugout. Not sure if it's funny or if it's sad.

And we got snow blower talk today, right before the 5pm break!

Francesa just announced that this Friday will be his last day on WFAN,. It seems he'll have some exposure @ radio.com and emeritus status at FAN.
His return/reunion tour was a shit-show, both for the station, and for him. Despite his arrogance and a marked inability to admt he is ever wrong, I'll miss his no hot take/minimum of trolling, style. He knows his stuff, in several sports, but like like many marquee players, they mistaenly think they have one more great season left.

Mike (claims to have) signed a new deal with Entercom that gives him more freedom, to even talk about (gulp) politics: https://www.nydailynews.com/sports/more-sports/ny-bob-raissman-mike-francesa-wfan-retired-radio-20191207-ekess7iddnaspaddzwyctrwbxi-story.html#nt=oft-Single Chain~Flex Feature~new-center-chain~francesa-940a~~1~yes-art~curated~curatedpage
This time around Francesa says he’s leaving for a show on Entercom’s Radio.com that will even give him the freedom to talk politics. This is just what the Free World needs. Francesa claims he’s got a three-year deal, which also includes a half-hour daily show (staring at 6 p.m.) on FAN. These endeavors have yet to be set in stone. Until they are, don’t hold your breath waiting for either to happen.

I got to believe Joe is a stop gap measure as he's been hinting hard at his retirement and he likes his afternoon golf.

I expect JJ (Mad-Dog lite) has a shot as eventually either Evan's co-host or maybe Maggie's, as IMO Malusis is way too bland.

Evan and Joe are the best show in sports talk radio right now. I love listening to those guys. Light years ahead of anything on WEEI.
+1, it’s the one reason I miss driving to work. I loved Boomer and Carton, too. My drive used to split the last and first half hours.

This medium is dying or already dead. I'd be shocked if even 20% of its audience was below the age of 40.

Somehow Radio.com has botched its updated integration with voice assistant devices after its new deal with Francesa so that if you ask for WFAN, it says "playing Mike's On with Francheska." It says this no matter what time of day you ask, as far as I can tell, and then plays the wfan feed.

I just tried a few different ways/phrasing on Echo. Alexa replies every time "playing WFAN sports radio on radio.com"

Google Home, however, is exactly as you said.
