Got to love the Twitter work by Funhouse to hold Mike accountable.

Each day a new nugget(s) of comedy is transmitted to the masses who follow that feed.

Mike can say he 'doesn't care' about the critique via this illumination --- but we know better.

Each morsel is reducing his credibility on some things (like his gambling picks) that he has prided himself on throughout his career.

Love it.

And then says the Shield should fine Gurley for exchanging shirts with the ref. Which was a photoshop. Just go away
This is a prime example of why we tell my MiL to never click on a link or open an attachment in an email. EVER!!

(if you haven't seen the photoshop in question, it's not just a bad photoshop, the bad photoshop is part of the joke. Crimminy, the ref is wearing player pants and socks, and the ref jersey Gurley is holding is rigidly stretched out as if it's on a hanger)

I wasn't aware of her surgery. I've always thought she was generally beter prepared and more knowledgable than most of the guys they've paired her with on FAN.

Francesa's "new" SB theme to seemingly diminish the Pats legacy, is that they should have lost the last 5 SBs.

I guess he means all the "ifs" that helped the Patriots in the Super Bowls they won don't happen and the "ifs" that helped the Giants in the two games they beat the Pats still happen.

Annual favorites due up this week:

1) much better to lose in the conference championship and not make it to the SB, than to lose in the SB. Losing in the SB is embarrassing.

2) all those byes the Pats have gotten over the years are a crutch. Pats could have easily lost plenty of first round games, but thanks to the NFL, their playoff record and SB appearances will never reflect that.

3) Ernie Adams is Putin's secret right-hand man.

Great compilation.

I actually enjoyed his talk with Amendola. His Pats obsession allowed him to bring up a number of big moments in Amendola’s run with the Patriots.

First ten minutes was spent killing Goff, then accolades to Ryan Allen, the stadium wouldn't show controversial plays on the EnormoTron, then five + minutes killing the Rams coaching decisions on specific plays.

and EVERYONE in the stadium hated the halftime show

Where it rains. No, seriously.
Mike was at the game and is giving his monologue without having seen or heard any postgame analysis:

Sitting by Ram fans
Goff was awful
Ryan Allen was good
Disappointed in McVay
Gurley didn’t look good in warmups
Belichick called TO on D because he saw a bad matchup on Reynolds
Penalties went Pats way, maybe they never make mistakes
Thinks it should have been a PF on Goff hit, suspicious that they didn’t replay it
Thinks helmet-to-helmet was a terrible call
Needed to let someone else other than Gronk beat you
How do you run on 3rd and 22? Have some guts, lost respect for the Rams there
Belichick MVP, Edelman awesome, Brady mediocre, should have had two or three picks, Gronk makes plays
Edelman and Gronk are HOF
Cooks had to catch the ball
Goff and McVay worse than Maroon 5, keep your shirt on

Mike said Cooks was open in the end zone with no Patriot within 5 yards on first telling, then he was open by 10 yards on second telling and open by 15 yards on third telling.

Francesa now claiming that the refs spent "10 minutes" on the field before the game with Tom Brady and then Gronk, while giving Goff no time. As a result, the Pats got favorable calls.

He is so, so angry that the Pats won.

Mike was told by several people that the hit at the sideline on Goff was legal but "if it was Brady it would have been a 15 yard penalty".
Insisting the call was head to head contact "I was at the game". (Wasn't it defenseless receiver?)
Rams played much better defensive game than Pats.

Yeah I heard him gearing up to attack the non call on the Goff hit. Essentially: I couldn’t see whether Goff was still inbounds from my seat and I haven’t seen a replay (very suspicious the stadium didn’t show a replay), but I think a flag should have been thrown.

I heard the producer inform him that Goff was inbounds and the broadcast agreed with the noncall, and he got pissy when a caller confirmed the same.

Hilarious. ‘I didn’t see it but I know they fucked it up’ is classic.

Made a big mistake and turned on the show:

“No I would NOT say Brady is the best QB of all-time”

Asked what QB he would start a team with - with a very long pause - Staubach

Then: “Elway & Marino are every bit as good as any other QB”

Plus of course mentions Montana perfect SB record, mentions Otto Graham, Johnny U and Bart Starr!!!

Plus some Bradshaw mentions!!! LOL

This guy is so far gone, it’s not even funny - plus Peyton greatest regular season QB and beat Brady head to head in the playoffs. This asshole needs a new job working on a political campaign. Pretty soon Brady won’t even be in the top 10.

The several-times-a-year Brady vs Montana discussion, and it is getting HEATED.

He's so worked up, he can't keep his argument/criteria straight.

Fun call around 5:25: a caller pointed out that Montana had Clark and Rice, and Roger Craig out of the backfield; Brady has a lax player and a small school QB they took in the 7th roun....and Mike cut him off right there and went absolutely ballistic.

EDIT: found it (OK, he didn't go ballistic, but he was quite bothered by it. For some reason, this stuff is funnier and more over the top if you hear it while driving):

Nothing makes him as mad as the Pats/Brady/BB.
He's even been pretty chill about the Sox ever since Theo kissed his ring.
He just can't stand BB and will never give the Pats credit. He'll always bring up all the dirty tricks he knew about with Ernie Adams but he'll never specifically disclose them so it's a convenient blanket trope. No matter where the argument starts, it'll always end up with 'they're dirty' and he'll move every goalpost and conjure every strawman he can come up with in the meantime.

His bogey for best QB (GOAT) remains Montana's 4-game SB wins.

He won't budge.

He knows he's an outlier on this debate, but its his show and he cuts off callers at will.

The Pats hatred is strong in this one.

I've told this before: my wife spent a day with Mike and Ro in late 2004 (may have been very early 2005). After it came up that I'm from Boston, and that both families summer north of Boston, there was some Sox WS chatter. Then Mike volunteered the info that he has nothing against Belichick. My wife had no idea what he was talking about, but he went on for a few sentences about Belichick and how there are no hard feelings.

When she got home that night, she asked me what was that all about?

Mike doesn't have BB in his Top 5. Lombardi, Brown, Walsh, Noll and Shula all ahead of BB.
I love me my Don Shula and he was a great coach in his heyday, but how does he only go to one Super Bowl with Marino, who is apparently a better QB than Brady to begin with?

And Mike made sure to include today that the Pats play in the VERY weak AFC East, and tried to explain how those easy fall games pave the way for them going to the SB so often in Jan and Feb. (because as we here on SOSH are very much aware, Brady's record vs non-AFC East teams in both the regular season and playoffs is abysmal)

I wonder which Super Bowl win exactly was aided by the crappy AFC East.

2001 when there were two WC teams in the Division, and they easily won the AFCCG on the road?

2003 when the Pats were 14-2, won the #1 seed on great part by beating Indy on the road, and the 2nd, 3rd and 4th place teams in the division had a better record than the same position teams in the North and West and the same record as the ones in the South?

2004 when the Pats got the two seed at 14-2, two games ahead of the three seed, despite the AFC East 2,3 and 4 teams having a better record than the 2,3, and 4 teams in any other AFC Division, and then they went and easily won the AFCCG on the road?

2014 when they earned the #1 seed by destroying two of the other division winners by over 20 points each? I'll admit that this one year the AFC North was particularly tough with the Ravens and Bengals making the playoffs and the Browns at 7-9, and that ended up with the Steelers at #3, but even then the Steelers blew their chance at a bye by losing to the 4-12 Jets, so it's still hard to make Mike's argument here.

2016 when they went 14-2 (two games better than any other team in the Conference) had a Wild Card team in their division, weren't in a division with either of the worst teams in the Conference: the Browns (1-15) or Jags (3-13), and beat the AFC North Champion Steelers on the road in the regular season?

2018 when they won the #2 seed tiebreaker with the Texans because they beat them, also avoided losing a possible tiebreaker to the Colts because they beat them, and beat the #1 seed at home in the regular season and on the road in the playoffs? And lol Texans-Eagles. Does anyone on the planet think the Texans were better than the Patriots?

It's an incredibly lazy argument and he would never let someone get away with this sort of crap if they were arguing against him.

mike shouild be happy NE does not have 10 super bowls

07 if the refs call eli in the grasp ne wins
10 if the pats beat the jets at home they beat pitt and go to SB 45
11 Eli made 2 clutch 4th q plays or ne wins
15 if NE wins at miami in week 17 they beat denver in foxboro and win sb 50

so NE is 3 plays and 2 bad games from 3 or 4 more rings

Mike continues to cover himself in glory with his insightful takes.
"For some reason, the internet hates Flacco....but that's a bunch of 16 year olds who don't know anything about football..."

Ahhh, so THAT's why the MikesOn app isn't selling: the clueless 16 Y/Os dont recognize genius when they hear it.

EDIT: one area where Mike is still at the top of his game is taking a call on a topic he knows (or cares) next to nothing about, and pivoting it to a subject that he's Prof Irwin Corey on AND making it about Mike, the Nick Buoniconti/CTE call being a prime example.
