I know it’s not the biggest news story in the world, but Lynchie from WCVB-5 in Boston is retiring after 40 years there. I worked at a deli near there, one of the nicest guys you want to meet, always willing to talk and gossip about the big four and it’s players.

Yeah, it was nice that a guy that had a great high school sports experience at a local school (Swampscott) ended up as a local sports anchor. He had a lot of respect for the coaches at that level who clearly aren't in it for the moneyh.

I remember him saying how he used to caddy at some local course to make money and some very rich and very important people treated him like absolute shit. Then, when he became at least locally famous, he encountered some of those same very rich and very important people and they wanted to suck up to the local celebrity. And he wouldn't have anything to do with them. Good guy.

The rules for that would have been the same, strange that there was no call. Actually, not only did he get hit but the two Yale guys wiped each other out. They were still on the ground long after the play was over.
