Bruins also got Steve Kampfer back from the Rangers.
NYR trading for Adam McQuaid from BOS. Return is a draft pick
This is pretty much where I'm at, too. He was a combination of hard to watch at times, but always easy to cheer for, as everything I have ever seen of him made me feel like he is a good dude, and a really, really good teammate. He's also as tough as they come. I couldn't believe how quick he came back after he took a skate to the neck a few years ago, for instance.Yeah as others have said, I'm a big fan of McQuaid, just not on my team in 2018.
"Hard to watch at times but always easy to cheer for" is a perfect description. And its not one that fits a lot of players. Good move for him. Good move for the Bruins. This is pretty much where I'm at, too. .
Yeah, I was pretty surprised they got two picks back. Getting a 4th is a boon.Absolutely stunned the Bruins were able to find a taker for McQuaid and to get a 4th and a 7th rounder back to is even better
Amen to that. I loved his crazy eyes when fighting, and dude was a tough as they come. The NHL has moved away from his skill set, but he was great to root for and I wish him the best in NY.McQuaid was tough as nails and a really great guy in the room and in the community. The league is going away from his skill set and they have guys that are faster and more skilled that can do his job so it’s a good move. I’ll always be a fan of his after the way he played in the ‘11 and ‘13 playoffs. Here’s to a great rest of your career Quaider, and I hope to see you at some alumni events a decade from now.
