Chandler Shepherd was superb through seven innings, giving up three singles, a double, and a hit by pitch while whiffing five. Tyler Thornburg tossed the eighth, yielding a single and striking out one. Robby Scott secured the victory with a 1-2-3 ninth; striking out a pair.

Mike Olt mashed a solo homer in the fourth and added two walks in four opportunities. Jantzen Witte whipped a single and walked once in three jaunts. Mike Miller and Ramon Flores each flipped a single and earned a free pass in four matchups. Jordan Betts and Chad De La Guerra each blooped a single in four at-bats.
