Was pretty enthusiastic about Youk’s potential heading into the season, but he’s not only not improving, he’s getting worse. The stories are uninteresting, and way too focused on him. This is a close game and it feels like a bit of an afterthought to this crew.
It's an endless stream of chatter with an occasional nod to the baseball game going on. Why do I care about Oakland? Shut upppppp.

Feels like we’re in extra innings since they start each inning off with a runner on.
Course it’s tough to get to extras when we can’t score.

Bad secondary lead? You'd think, even with the short porch, if he had read it on contact and had an appropriate secondary lead, especially with two outs, he'd have been able to score (rather easily?) on a ball way up the Monster like that one.

Edit: eh on replay looks like a really good defensive play and a bad send, but not a great secondary lead either.

Wikipedia's entry on the movie Reds, quotes a review from the National Review: "Never exactly boring, sometimes entertaining, Reds is frequently irritating and finally disappointing."

I'm kind of hoping that by the end of this series, this will be an apt review of the baseball Reds.

Kike has been weirdly bad in the field this year.
He's never been a good SS. They got caught without any good backup plan (to the backup plan when X left if you want to argue, but.... I think we all know Story was signed for this reason) when Story's elbow finally blew up.

O'Brien sounds shocked that the Reds are taking out this 31-year-old journeyman with 2 out in the 6th to bring in a lefty to face all our LH hitters.
