Giancarlo Stanton just left Dodger Stadium. That was the furthest ball I've ever seen hit in person. At the game so this is the best I can do for a link: http://streamable.com/jgp4

Fifth time in Dodger Stadium history, according to Molly Knight:

Willie Stargell: Aug 5,1969
Willie Stargell: May 8,1973
Mike Piazza: Sept 21,1997
Mark McGwire: May 22,1999
Giancarlo Stanton: May 12,2015

The camera never picked up that ball until it left the stadium.

Bryant goes deep again.  3rd in 4 games since he hit his first one.  This kid is going to be really, really fun to watch.

It's the MLB.tv game of the day, so you should be able to tune in without needing a paid account.

According to the radio guy he only threw 111 pitches. That is crazy that they didn't leave him in. I hope the Cardinals rally and win now.

Mike Trout is being walked intentionally to load the bases with no outs.....with a man on first.

Well, yeah, but can't really argue too much with the strategy. Bottom of the 11th, sets up the force at home

Angels win on the sac fly

No argument. I just always find the intentional walk with a man on first amusing.

Pujols ends the game with a sac fly, though he was a couple feet away from a grand slam earlier in the in AB.

Anthony Rizzo now hitting .344/.471/.616 with 8 homers. There's a silver lining for the sox though: Rizzo got us Gonzalez, who got us Webster and RDLR, who netted us Wade Miley. So...yeah.

I mock, but he hit it deep into the RF corner, took a nice catch to keep it tied.

Wow, the Cubs win when Polanco trips and falls trying to catch a routine pop-up with the bases loaded, I have never seen that.

Stanton just jacked one about 500 to straightaway center.
Good god again? I've gotten this notification from at bat twice already this week.

I hate hate hate the automatic double rule where runners only get two bases.  But, I liked it last night. Reds just missed a run and a tie with an auto-D with Billy Hamilton of all people running from first with two out and the hit bounced into the RCF stands.

I love how the ESPN crew is talking about how similar Miguel Cabrera's career is to Hank Aaron's at the age of 32 and how impressive it is.

They conveniently forget the run Aaron had from 33-39 where in 7 seasons when most are on the downside of his career, he had 271 HR and 701 RBIs (38+ HR and 100 RBI per season).  There are no more PEDs, so if Cabrera has that run in him, then he deserves a lot of credit.  Most guys don't even get close to that in their prime, let alone that part of their career.

I was sort of impressed that they could get that many words in about Cabrera, his health and his conditioning without mentioning the words "alcohol" or "arrest."

I understand these guys are speaking to a national audience of largely casual fans, but they're more infantilizing than your typical politician.
