yikes Rizzo

@CBSSportsMLB: WATCH: Logan Schafer homers* on ground ball to shortstop http://t.co/JGTAAY6tQe

* It was two errors, not a homer, but still.

Rizzo seemed to be day dreaming

Sigh... Bauer pitched poorly today and Walker did yesterday. That's the problem with young guys who have control issues, even when it looks like they're breaking out they're still a pretty big risk from start to start.

I can only guess this ties into your fantasy team.

The Mariners could really use another strong SP. They're 5-0 in Felix games but 5-14 (probably 15 after today) otherwise. Maybe the first manager fired will be neither Williams, Redmond, nor Roenicke but Lloyd McClendon.

Bryce Harper has 3 HRs already today, two upper deck, through 5 innings.

@JoeFrisaro: Dee Gordon is first player since Rod Carew (53) in 1983 to have as many as 52 hits thru his first 28 games of the season. #Marlins

Bryce Harper had 3 homers yesterday (and 5 rbi's).  He just hit his second home run today (and another 5 rbi's).  If I'm not mistaken, 5 hr's in 2 games ties the ML record.  I think I remember McGwire doing it once, but not sure about anyone else.

The surprising Twins, 17-13 heading into today's action have a 7-0 lead on Cleveland this afternoon.  Tito's boys are currently 10-18, worst in the AL.

And the Twins are doing this after starting 1-6 ... 16-7 since

Does anyone have any clue about what turned them around? Any roster changes? The good work of Molitor?
I found this: http://bringmethenews.com/2015/05/08/twins-early-results-show-molitor-was-the-right-choice-for-manager/

While under the leadership of Ron Gardenhire the previous 13 seasons, Twins Territory got used to a batting order that remained mostly the same. With Molitor, Over the Baggy says, consistency in the lineup is a thing of the past.

“Through the first month of the season, Molitor has shown little regard to keeping things certain. One of the most glaring areas of example may be the batting order. Having shuffled it on nearly a bi-nightly basis, Molitor has pushed his team from a -20 run differential through their first seven games, to a +13 mark as of May 8. Deciding to move on from the strikeout prone Danny Santana as the leadoff guy, pushing Trevor Plouffe into the cleanup hole, and jump-starting Kenny Vargas after a short benching have all been positive situations.”

Can someone explain to me what the fuck is going on in Cincinatti?  They have a 10-1 lead going into the bottom of the 9th, and Cueto has thrown 111 pitches.  Of course, they bring him out, and he proceeds to give up a leadoff home run to Jose Abreu, a couple more hits, 2 more runs and manages to get one out (on a sac fly) before they pull him with 123 pitches and Hoover finishes it off.  I can't remember the last time a manager did something like that in today's game of trying to conserve pitchers a little bit.  It made no sense.  He's already battled through some minor aches and pains earlier in the season.  Just dumb.

They have a second game today. I guess they wanted to avoid using the pen if they could? Not a call I would have made, but it's the only thing I can think of.

Kris Bryant hits his first major league blast.  Has had a great start to his career, but until now, hadn't gone deep.   The first of many.

6 HR over the last 3 games, just hit a walk-off 2R HR.

I was at the game today. Everyone in the park knew he was going deep there. So badass.

Thousands of Blue Jays fans lined up outside the gates at 9:15 to make sure they get the giveaway Josh Donaldson jersey!

(I'd take one.  He is impressive.)

Man, I want to do some research into how often closer who come into a tie game in the 9th and lose the game.

Reds ties up the game in the 9th, Chapman comes in for the bottom of the 9th & takes the loss.

Bryant and Rizzo just hit back-to-back no doubters on consecutive pitches against deGrom.
Lucas Duda & Wilmer Flores pulled off the same feat against Lester. Pretty funny, really.

I'm pretty sure Steve Cishek and his 10.32 ERA shouldn't actually be allowed to try to close games anymore, he blew another one just now to LA.
