Any word if he's vaccinated? Fucking Florida!Ugh.
Cue the "why didn't we get a BP arm better than Hansel?" chorus

So he could just have the old-fashioned flu, no?
It may be that his test was negative today, but his symptoms may show the fact that he could test positive tomorrow. So he could just have the old-fashioned flu, no?
Yes. One other player tested negative as well but is "under the weather" like Barnes. Sounds like it could just be a run of the mill bug.So he could just have the old-fashioned flu, no?
Doesn't seem like it, since they've already admitted someone else is sick but tested negative. He's not on the COVID IL, or even named. My guess is if Barnes' test comes back negative, he gets re-instated and they play a game or two short-handed.If he tests negative but is too sick to pitch, can they stash him on the covid-il?
True, 'dat. Of course, it would be better if it didn't happen when the runs count!Hansel will be fine for Batting Practice
Yep something going around our office, everyone negative and vaxxed. Hopefully just normal sick.Very well could be a common cold, not even a flu. Hope that's the case!
Pretty close, if there is anybody in the stands.Aren't the "bullpens" in that dump of a stadium in Tampa along the first and third base lines?
Where do the bullpen members sit, are they in the dugouts until they go warm up or are they on top of the fans in an indoor stadium in a state where COVID is raging out of control?
What about when they are warming up, how close are they to the mouth breathers in the stands?
I know I spotted Barnes in the dugout early in one of the games, maybe after Renfroe's HR on Sunday? That might be closer privilege though.Aren't the "bullpens" in that dump of a stadium in Tampa along the first and third base lines?

The Rays are in first place, they're up to about 40% capacity................oh wait; subtract out visiting team fans and they're back to their usual 19 fans per game.I know I spotted Barnes in the dugout early in one of the games, maybe after Renfroe's HR on Sunday? I think there's a bit of a gap between the wall by the bullpen area and the actual seating area, so I don't think whatever fans may have been there were on top of any of the players.
Sad, the team deserves so much better. The Rays are in first place, they're up to about 40% capacity................oh wait; subtract out visiting team fans and they're back to their usual 19 fans per game.
I wouldn't hate them so much if their fans actually gave a shit, they don't deserve a winning team.Sad, the team deserves much better.
Depends on the test--a rapid molecular test is very accurate for a suspected case:Wonder if they're doing PCR or rapids. Rapid tests are shit.
