Harvey Elliott starting in the midfield next to The Capetian and Keita!

Peacock sucks. It just took me 15 minutes and closing the app 3 times to re-sign up. NBCSN is showing car auctions. Cool

Peacock is fine
You’ll need to defend this.

Peacock doesn’t support joining late and starting from the beginning. You can’t fast forward or rewind live events. The stream quality and framerate varies week to week from “1995” to “2017.” The interface is clunky and not intuitive.

It’s not even borderline acceptable, let alone “fine.”

Ok, features I rarely use or notice.
I honestly can't tell the difference between different fps. (I trialed Paramont+, and they seem to have similar issues)

I've noticed the ff/rw/pause functionality on some programming (think WWE). Again, I don't really use it.

The content library is satisfactory to me. To each their own.

Liverpool, and especially Trent, playing a little loose to start.

Jota very much against the run of play. Burnley have been the better team so far. Nice to see Tsimikas looking like Robertson again with the cross too.

edit to add - whenever Fabinho isn’t on the field, the D looks so much worse.

Not sure what I enjoy more: When the sentence flows correctly and it sounds like commentators discussing Ben Mee are talking about themselves, or when it flows weirdly and they sound like Cookie Monster.

Love what the kid is doing with his passing and constant push to move things forward, but the Elliott-Keita pairing doesn’t have enough teeth to balance it out.

Palace should be up 1-0. They are attacking really well. Gallagher is already making a difference, though he should have just scored. It looked like he could have hit two posts in aiming for the top right corner.

Break in the Palace-Brentford game...I can't remember the last time being this entertained by Crystal Palace. Conor Gallagher is going to be a fan favorite if he keeps playing like this. Pretty impressed by Brentford too.

I have have Peacock through Comcast, their parent company, and it's unbelievable how unresponsive the interface is to the Comcast remote. It's so bad that I avoid using Peacock unless absolutely necessary. If there's a choice between watching an episode of B99 on NBC on Demand with commercials or on Peacock without, I'll still choose to watch the NBC rather than deal with the Peacock interface.

That said, I've never had streaming issues with the picture. I'm watching Leeds-Everton now and it looks beautiful

Entertaining Leeds 2-2 Everton. DCL scored a pen but fluffed a sitter that would have iced the game. Keane, second week in a row gifting a goal, truly dreadful. Gray a revelation for the Toffees, pace to burn and slotted stilleto at a tight angle. Great atmosphere at Eiland Road, fans were roaring but Leeds didn’t create many chances. Raphina was quiet but then chipped in with a BLAMMO to level late and that’s how I ended. Disappointed with the draw, think Everton should have won, but could well have lost. Rafa has them playing simple, organized, direct, but still need more quality in midfield and the individual errors on defens me have been horrific.

Scally gets another start against Leverkusen but just got torched by Diaby who passed to Schick for goal #2

Catching up on this morning’s matches. I’m pretty sure the Emptyhad had more crowd noise when it was computer generated.

astride the divide
Solid win for Brighton. Dominant first half in particular. The skeptic would still like to see all the possession and attractive play result in goals--the two scores came off a corner and a bad giveaway by Watford. Maupay landed hard on his shoulder at the end of the first half and was replaced by Connolly. I've always thought Maupay was somewhat fungible as a striker but Connolly announced his presence by missing an open net. There's been talk of trying to buy Darwin Nunez (Uruguay/Benfica); I wonder if that price tag goes up if Maupay is out for a while.

IOW, the only reason this is on peacock is greed. The only programming choice that would make me angrier is if they were showing infomercials.

In what universe is car buying a “sport”?
This is the main problem I have... if Peacock were amazing..then fine. BUT NBC has gained all of the US' access to the best EPL Games.. and they've regressed to taking all of those games off of TV where most users/ cable subscribers can watch them and put them on a highly inferior streaming service solely for the reason of charging more money. They're taking advantage of a new fan base to try and make money, but simultaneously reducing that audience by making them watch on a streaming TV or computer... Let me watch over my cable connection so I don't have to worry about my wifi connection every time I watch a game. Put the best matches on TV and streaming instead of only streaming.. they're making people hate their service by forcing people on to it. If they did something additive to the coverage so that watching on Peacock was a bonus..that would be a draw...but instead it's another hurdle to watch the best games.

Peacock is a downgrade from the NBC Sports Gold feature set. Two years in, that’s utterly inexcusable.

I can’t get started on the double dip that’s become standard, requiring subscribers to have some sort of obsolete cable account in addition to the network’s offering. We, as consumers, utterly failed to push back effectively early enough to head that off.

for every complaint about matches not staying on cable, I've seen equal amounts of comments around the internet that all matches not on streaming....no one is happy

What's especially annoying about Peacock is that, for games NBC broadcasts on NBC/NBCSN, it streams them on the NBCSports platform, which is a superior platform with richer features than Peacock. NBC could have just used that platform for Peacock; instead, NBC intentionally put the subscription platform on a worse platform.
