No Fab today, his wife is in labor.

Midfield is Thiago-Hendo-Elliott.

Always feel for defenders in those situations. Yes he should do better but it’s so hard to cleanly strike a bouncing ball and you get away with slicing that 99% of the time

Liverpool forwards couldn’t successfully kick the ball over the goal line without opposition right now.

Ivan Toney carted off in the last minutes of the Brentford game. Some kind of knee injury when he landed from a header. No obvious contact on replays. In lots of pain when they treated him.

Wout! Wout!

Absolutely bonkers match. Very tough for one for Leicester. A very lucky for Liverpool. Phew.

I can’t believe he was still playing. The gambling accusations are very serious. I’d have figured at least a suspension stayed pending a preliminary hearing, or something.

Not saying he should have been hurt obviously in case that’s not clear.

saw some highlights on Sky News. Darwin didn't pass to a Mo Salah with space on that late counter. He chose to keep it and skyed it above the cross bar

What I don’t understand is how the wolves hand ball in the first half wasn’t called in their own box but that one was.
I didn’t see the Wolves handball, but isn’t there a different standard for a goal scored off a handball than for other handballs? Per the FA website:
It is an offence if a player:
scores in the opponents' goal:

  • directly from their hand/arm, even if accidental, including by the goalkeeper
  • immediately after the ball has touched their hand/arm, even if accidental

over in the Catalan derby, Jordi Alba just received two yellows in like 5 minutes for arguing with the ref. 1-1 at 79' now.

I was in the car yesterday listening to the matches, and noted the left turns that the TalkSport commentaries often take. During Liverpool-Leicester, the pbp questioned whether one should aspire to be an Egyptian king or Egyptian God. The theological inquiries of their commentaries are intriguing.

Lahoz strikes again. Sent off 3 in about 4 minutes.
Even more controversially, one of those reds, a straight red for Cabrera, was taken away after review. It was a definite yellow though, and would have been his second (thus being a red anyways), but the full red apparently can’t be downgraded to a yellow. So Cabrera stayed on.
