Thiago Silva has been been Chelsea’s man of the match with a goal and a clearance off the line. At the other end Mendy with a spectacular gaffe to concede a (well taken) penalty … against the run of play.

Jorginho did Mendy no favors but that just has to go into row z.

Fabianski can’t be beat to the near corner there.
This is a myth perpetuated by the media. The ball going in counts the same amount on either post. You don’t favor the near post and no keeper hates getting beaten there more than far. Keepers simply hate getting beaten, period.

At that angle, the ball hits the near post a lot faster than the far post. If you truly want to cover it you need to expose the far side to an unacceptable degree. A striker will look up and adjust accordingly.

Yep that's a no-win positioning. Just don't let a guy get acres of space to take the time to place it where he wants.

Man Zouma really can't put a string of games together without needing the ice bath :(

This is a heck of a match.

Yeah. That was a knuckleball, but I'm still not sure how he missed it.
Plus he conceded the penalty on a ball that he had a chance to clear first (that one was as much on Jorginho as Mendy though, two goals conceded in two weeks on Jorginho mistakes).

Chelsea looked more dangerous before Lukaku came on, less fluid on that end and more forced trying to get big Rom the ball.

The league is lucky Traore can’t be a complete player for 90 minutes. I don’t think he’s ever going to figure out his passing or shooting consistently, but if he does… Yikes.

Welll …Traore been doing this for three years now … amazing physical skills …but no end result. I used to be terrified when he got the ball in space. Now you just expect him to make the wrong decision.

Wolves are really playing well today. Nice setup and great execution. This is a game where Firmino is really missed.

One of the truly amazing things about West Ham's new look is David Moyes.
His first time at West Ham, and the first stretch of his second time he was paralyzed by indecision. He never shifted formations, he left his subs forever or unused, he just looked like a man with no confidence in his ability to make a decision to change a game.

Today.... he used 3 formations in the course of a match.

You can blame José Sa for that one. Where the fuck is he running to when Origi has the ball? It should have hit him in the feet.

California. Duh.
It feels like he only scores three goals a year but they're all stoppage time winners.
Some players become legends by scoring tons of goals over a long period of time. Others do by scoring a handful of goals at key moments. He's nowhere to be found on any list of greatest Liverpool players, but 50 years from now people will still remember his name.

Is there a better player in the world right now than Mo Salah?

I looked it up. Since 2018-19, he has scored only 14 goals for Liverpool, but that includes:
  • The injury-time winner against Everton
  • An 86th minute winner against Newcastle
  • The opening goal and the 79th minute winner in the Barcelona CL semifinal second leg
  • An 87th minute goal in the CL final
  • An injury-time equalizer in the 5-5 league cup match against Arsenal
  • Today's injury-time winner.

Anytime Pep plays Sterling in the right I’m excited. He’s so much better where he can use his strong foot to go outside his man

I missed the last 10 minutes of Liverpool’s game @ Wolves. Just listened to replay on BBC on Sirius-XM.
Origi!!!
So many great pieces for Klopp to use in any given match. Hat’s off for the late substitution.
Many matches to go, but I love how this team has come together and is playing right now.
