Not the most convincing of wins but I'll certainly take it. Palace really had us under the cosh for about 15-20 minutes there until the Saka goal.

Our fitness levels clearly aren't there but our bench was also pretty thinned out by injury, which is a tough combination.

At the same time, if guys like Sambi and Elneny aren't trusted enough to come on for 15 minutes at the end when the starting midfield has no legs anymore...they probably aren't good enough.

it's almost as if NBC Sports wants you to forget the last guy. They've used clips of matches of last season where Peter is narrating instead of Arlo, when both called the same game.

That's so cruel. I just came in at 75' but Palace were looking like great value for the equalizer.

Not sure which match to watch at 10 tomorrow. Would love to size up Spurs a bit but want to see what Leeds look like as well as Newcastle

La familia OCST is heading to the Everton bar to watch the Toffees take on Chelsea at Goodison (where they have beaten Chelsea 5x in a row or something like that, seriously).

Our referee does not look up for this. He’s getting taken by both sides and losing control a bit.

Thought Palhinha stepped on Henderson's ankle to create the buildup to Fulham's goal, but those never really get reviewed / overturned. Fulham by far the better side so far - Robertson really should've had Diaz for a tap-in a few minutes back though

Fulham look like they’re playing with 14 guys against 8. They’ve been great.
Having to go away to a newly promoted side for the first game of the season is very tough. These players and fans are up for it, against Liverpool no less.

Everyone in FPL captaining Salah and doubling on the Pool defense is pretty grumpy atm.

*raises hand*

Madley is letting a ton of stuff go both ways. Games like this worry me for injuries.
Inconsistently. Both sides have grievances.

The blond attacker on Fulham whose name I can’t be bothered to look up this early noticed this and stepped up the shithousing.

If that’s anyone other than Van Dijk the announcers aren’t saying “not sure that’s a 50/50”.

He gets none of the ball and sticks a leg out that is always given these days

Antonee Robinson has been exceptional - 4-5 times now he's given Van Dijk the appearance of the long ball on to Salah and gotten across to clear

Milner for Fabinho? My dog raised his head to question that.
This sub saved a point IMO - there was no control in midfield. Henderson was awful all game bar the last ditch attempt off the bar, Fabinho looked a step slow, Thiago wasn't great then got hurt.

Union-Hertha time!

And they should already be up 1. Perfect day for the game too.

Bah … Liverpool were really bad and didn’t deserve a win. That being said, the PEN wasn’t .. one of the replay angles showed no contact at all. That’s what VARs supposed to be for.

All in all VVD had a terrible game, along with AA. Their distribution left a lot to be desired. The starting Liverpool midfield was slow to react on just about every 50/50

Really impressed with Fulham … they showed lots of hustle and confidence. Mitrovic impressed despite the diving.

Liverpool didn’t deserve a win, and it’s comforting to know that we can expect no change in VAR.

Forest seem to somehow not have a shirt sponsor? Can…can we get SoSH on there?
