21 extra FTs for the Thunder. That doesn't match the game play.
OKC grabbed anyone going to the basket all game and were very rarely called. Not sure who the guard up top was but on every close out he would grab the player going by him so he could close out fast but also not get beat on a drive.. if they let that go consistently like they did tonite.. I can see why OKC is so good at D. Hartenstein did it often as well. OKC was good, but they got the benefit of every call all night tonite... if that's what's on offer I'm not interested in seeing that finals... like the old Wade and LeBron days when it was obvious Boston was getting hosed just enough to make it look legit. Let them play even up.

A LOT less impressed with SGA after tonite.. fuck that guy if that's who he is.

The officiating might have sucked, but the reality is, when you attempt 61 3-pointers, you're probably not going to get to the line much.
Yep. OKC has been the best team in the NBA this year, nothing tonight has me thinking anything other.

Also this game had a few JT-less minutes of Brown dribbling in the half court and being horrible at it as he often is. That wouldn't happen or barely happen in the Finals

What about the times they went to the basket and things weren't called? Cause that happened plenty of times as well.

I get it. I try to be down the middle on color people (unfortunately the NBA’s crew of them is really, really bad) but Doris completely lost me during that Sixers series. I mean, it was bad enough that JJ Redick asked her about it on a podcast.
Also, she actually used to be good and informative. Whatever she has become, it’s neither. I don’t know if it’s her or if it’s the ESPN suits that have asked her to dumb it down but she’s unbearable. The only person that I would take her over is Reggie Miller
Oh I agree she used to be waaay better, she used to add insight, which I do notice when people add to the broadcast. I'd just imagine the price to be on ESPN's A/B team is dumbing yourself down(I'd also imagine the money is 200% worth it). Most of us here aren't looking for that, we want a thoughtful approach with no bias(well maybe half of us)but we are a very small part of a national viewing broadcast. I hope this never happens to Legs

IDK man, the Celtics shot over 60 three pointers. SGA manipulated a lot contact and there were some soft calls for sure, but not sure the Celtics were aggressive enough to warrant a lot more free throws.
100% agree... for the first 3 quarters. 2PA were 9-8 in the 4th quarter in favor of the Celtics. FT were 18-3 in favor of OKC.

With JB sucking tonight, the OKC second unit got the jump on the Celtics in the fourth, putting OKC up two possessions in the first two minutes before Mazzulla had to bring JT back

Tied with 8:12 left Boston missed six consecutive threes and turned the ball over once, Thunder goes on an 8-0 run (wide open Williams three, 2 SGA FTs, Williams FT, SGA crossover 14 footer off a double team) and that was game time.

Missed threes by
JB
Jrue
JT
(JT turnover)
JT
Horford
White

I agree it shouldn't be even. But DWhite has literally never fouled out in his life. When is the last time the Cs had two players foul out in regulation? I can't remember it happening.
2022 East Finals Game 3, a 109-103 loss. Incredibly there was a +16 FT disaparity of 30 for the C's, 14 Miami.

Last in a win: March 7, 2014, 91-84 over the Nets. Both teams had 26 FT.

Last in a win with a net negative in FTs: Game 2, 2010 ECF vs. Orlando, 95-92, at -10, 28 to 38.

Thank you!

I remember that Heat game. That whole series was a wrestling match.
