Major SOSH Upgrade, November 2015

Just popping in here to say that on the iPhone 6S both tapatalk and the SoSH app are super slow to refresh. In the participated category, both apps removed the majority of the threads I've posted in.

Otherwise, it's amaze balls.

Yea I've noticed the same on the official app. Tapatalk seems even worse. I'm on Android BTW.

I don't think it is strictly an app issue...the new board doesn't appear to acknowledge any participation in threads if the participation happened on the old board. In a browser, participated threads are marked by a mini version of our avatars as seen in the attached image. But, at least from what I can tell, those only seem to show up for threads participated in since the change-over. I'm guessing that isn't something that is fixable, and if it is, it's low priority.

My Member status didn't carried over with the site makeover either. And beside missing Other Crap, my Coco Crisp avatar also need recovering.

Edit: Just so I don't clutter the thread: I'm all set now. Something was cached, but isn't now. Everything is as it should be.

Just a refresh should do, if it doesn't then try clearing your cookies/cache.

Things I don't like: When I click on a thread, it goes to the last post as opposed to last unread. Is this something I can change in settings?

Things I love: Nip, Sumner, and everyone who puts in the countless hours of unpaid grunt work that go into making this site work. I make less than 5 stops on the internet. I hate the internet. I love SoSH.

Probably. Whatever site is being embedded chooses their own video codecs, you need browser/OS support for their chosen codec. Previously we only allowed embedding of YouTube and a couple of other very widely supported sites; now we allow more sites to be embedded, but some of them may have codecs that aren't supported by some browsers.

Really you'd need to point at a link that's not working and post in Backwash to try to get help from other iOS (iphone/ipad) users.

If you click into a forum and click on a thread (dot or title), it should take you to the first unread post.

If you're in the list of forums and click on the "Most recent post" thread title at the right, it'll take you to the most recent post.
