Nats clinch home field for the gimmick game on Tuesday. A little surprised Scherzer is getting the start in a do or die game instead of Strasburg. Strasburg has been in much better form down the stretch than Scherzer.

OAK needs one more win or TB loss to clinch home field in the AL coin flip game, they currently have 21 year old (for two more days) Jesus Luzardo trying to close for the final two innings of a 1-0 game, he is one out away.

Luzardo got five in a row, but now single, WP, HBP on 3-0 has him in some trouble. Tim "inexplicably not related to Davey" Lopes is up.

Gets the infield popup and the two inning save, he seems to be like a K-Rod 2002 or Price 2008 potential weapon, #7 overall prospect in BA coming into the year before injuries kept him out most of the season.

Rays/A’s 5:09pm Pacific on Wednesday in Oakland.
So half the game in twilight, first run wins.

The coin flip game (NY was in 3 of the previous 4 years) is easily the most stressful game for me as a fan since it started. Right now your team is in a kind of limbo. If you lose, especially dominated by an ace SP, it is like you never made the postseason and it is over so quickly, very depressing. If you win, then the playoffs actually start and your team is in for at least another week or so. Good luck!!

Anyone remember when they release game times? If the Nats win the WC (and it's a big if), they'd get the Dodgers, with a game next Sunday, same day Pats are down there for the Redskins. If it happens, would be a fun doubleheader.

Cards taking care of business finally, but they're using Jack Flaherty today to do so. so there's that.
