In Bill We trust. Oh, and for all those claiming there was no way, perhaps you should start adding a little "it would be shocking" or " it seems unlikely " to your posts.

So the Pats get LaGarette Blount to shoot his way out of town so he can join the Patriots and now AB is a Patriot after getting himself released for being a malcontent.

The Steelers message board universe must be in total freefall.

How much of his meltdown summer was all an act?
None.

I still can't really believe that this is real.
It’s not.

If he’s a model citizen after all this, I will burst out laughing.
I think you’ll find yourself maintaining a staid demeanor.

Sports talk radio going to go nuts
It’s a short trip.

Just wait till they add Gronk to the receding corps in week 10
This is exponentially far more likely than AB being on this team Week 10.

Already on Page 3 and it's been a few minutes.

This is the Nomar trade. No doubt.

Very good question. For the past several weeks I've been of the mind that he wanted out of Oakland. I think he was so excited to get out of Pittsburgh that he signed on the dotted line but when he walked into Oakland and saw firsthand what a trainwreck it was, he knew that BEST CASE, he was going to be the star on a dying franchise, so he started working his way out of town with cryo-gate, helmetgate, whatever he can think of. Now he's got a chunk of change in a first class organization with a chance to win a ring.

This may be the first and last appropriate time LGB gets put on the same pedestal as AB.

This is too funny. Like I’m more just laughing than excited. But I’m also super excited.

Yeah, sounds like AB did want to play football. He just wanted to NOT play with the Gruden & Mayock Show.

As SSF notes, Brown still needs to prove he is a company man and the reality is that there are legitimate questions as to whether he can do this. He still may not play a snap for the Patriots or in the NFL this coming season.

That said, even after ~ 20 years of success, I still cannot believe that the New England Patriots, who were the poster child for a mismanaged NFL franchise in the late 80s and early 90s, is now the Evil Empire for professional football. For those who weren't around back then, what has transpired is mind-boggling. They weren't just a team during a down cycle - they were the team that other fanbases - even those who rooted for poor teams themselves - laughed at to feel better about their own team's misfortune. I simply cannot stress how much things have changed for the franchise since Kraft bought them.

I said I wouldn't take him if the Raiders paid us, but I'm a lying liar and I fucking love it.

Now the operative scene is Donkey from Shrek “I have the right to remain silent!” “You have the right, what you lack is the ability”

Will be interesting to see if he can go from level 50 MeMeMe diva to buttoned down company man and maintain it.

There are so many great Patriots gifs on the iPhone that, yet I’ve still almost exhausted them talking shit the last ten minutes.
