Is anyone watching this on a PC? It seems to work on my phone using the app but not on my PC. Not sure if it takes time to get updated.

A person on slickdeals says this:
Working fine on PC. The subscription is listed on my account page there.

Same question. I’m blacked out of Orioles/Nats/Braves/Reds games and would like to remedy that without resorting to shaky Reddit links.
I have a NordVPN subscription and will be testing it out tomorrow. I'll let you know. Looks like the USA server I am currently connected to is in LA so it should work in theory.

Sorry if asked/answered but I didn't see it. I used to watch games with an MLB.tv subscription via the MLB app that was an icon on my iTunes home screen. This year that icon itself seems to have disappeared. Am I stuck having to watch on my laptop (or airdrop from laptop to the tv)? Anyone else using the MLB icon via iTunes? Thanks.

If you have one of the older "thin" A-TV's MLB app support has been dropped.

If you have one of the newer (last 6 years) "bigger" ones... Go to the App Store and download the MLB app again. Open it, enter your mlb.tv log-in info and you should be good. Just make sure you don't try and "buy" it via Apple.

If I want to get EI so I can watch through my cable provider does the TM deal help me at all? I didn't buy any packages last year but in prior years if I bought EI I got mlb.tv included. Is the TM deal only for mlb.tv?

Yes. And the $60 or whatever price difference isn't worth it for EI any more, IMO.

Yesterday in the cord-cutting thread, I followed the SlickDeals link from @gtmtnbiker and synced up with some dude with a T-Mobile account. I sent him a $4 Amazon GC, he sent me the free MLB.tv code. It worked, and now I have a subscription for $4. I recommend anyone considering an MLB.TV subscription to try the same.

I posted in the other thread too, but thought maybe more people would see it here.

Can you explain how this works? My wife has a T-Mobile account, but I'd like to get the MLB.TV subscription on my MLB account (so I can have it on my phone, etc.). So she can somehow go on and get a code that I can then use?

Yes, T-Mobile provides a link that can be used to activate the subscription on anyone's MLB account -- the MLB account doesn't have to be tied to the T-Mobile subscriber in any way. This is how people are selling them for $5.

I just went onto Spectrum to see what the package costs and shockingly it's only $130. If that still comes with mlb.tv that seems like a pretty decent deal, no?

I am trying to test my subscription on a Non-Sox game and continue to get 'Network Error'. I am streaming through an Amazon FireCube. Anyone else getting that?

Any luck?
I think so? I wasn't able to test whether I could use the VPN to watch a game that is blacked out in my home market since the Sox game was postponed. I was able to make an out of market game blacked out by connecting to server in that market so it should work in theory.

Ok cool, thanks for checking. I’ll revisit this tomorrow. I’m looking for something simple that will work on an iPad.

The cradle of the game.
Is a DirecTV subscription still the only way to get 8 games on 1 screen ('GameMix').

If so, what is the next best multi-game option? I thought mlb.tv offered 4 games on 1 screen, but that functionality wasn't available during the free ST games recently.

edit: My available devices are Apple TV, Spectrum cable box, AmazonFire, Roku, dedicated laptop

I think it would be available on all devices that mlb.tv is on.

Thank you sir. It looks like the 4-screen multi-view is only for browsers? Because the MLB.tv app for AppleTV seems to only allow 2 games at a time.
This has been my experience as well. The MLB and NHL apps on AppleTV both only let you watch two at a time. I hope ESPN “fixes” the NHL.tv app when they start running the NHL.s streaming show to quad box like the ESPN app lets you.

Sorry I thought that it would be available on devices that more people would watch the games.

You can cast from the browser itself if you're using Chrome. Otherwise, I think they only allow casting from the app.

Unless I'm stupid, I can't seem to cast even from Chrome. I can from YouTube, etc, but just says it's not available. I had to connect a HDMI to my laptop to get it working.

I used to watch on the app on Fire TV in years past but it's been so wonky this season that I downloaded the app on Roku and now use that instead. The first and second games this season gave me an error message "No streams available for this game" on the Fire TV app, but I had no problem watching them on the Roku app (well, except for the result). They need to update it, because there's clearly something buggy about the app.

I will confess that I had to log in every day for 3 days straight. But Sunday and Monday, I did not have to log in again. You are right, that was really annoying. At one point, I got signed out after the Sox game ended on Saturday. While I was still using the app. That was pretty odd.

I'd like to buy mlb.tv through Youtube.tv, because I hate the mlb.tv app with a passion.

But does anyone know if there is a way to specify which broadcast you get via Youtube?

Does anyone know if there's a limit on simultaneous MLB.TV streams per account? I want to run MLB.TV streams from 3 AppleTVs into a quad view device that outputs to a projector.

I just had the Sox on my phone, iPad and TV. So you can get at least three.

You might already know this, but you don't need 3 devices to stream multiple games at once, apple tv lets you do 2 by itself, and with a pc you can do up to 4 I'm pretty sure.

But I want the flexibility to mix/match MLB and other sports, news, etc. (i.e. via Spectrum cable app) into the 4 quadrants of my screen. A man's gotta feed his ADD, you know :)

MLB.TV is currently running a 50% off promo (64.99). I usually wait for the Father's Day promo, which is typically between $45-$50, but figured I'd probably just jump on this one now.

It's offered both through the MLB App or through Amazon Prime channels. When purchasing through Prime Channels, you get access to Prime's X-ray feature that includes live stats, team and player details, and play-by-play information.

Just wondering if anyone knows if purchasing through the Prime Video app restrict me from just using my subscription on the MLB app directly or not.
Thanks.

I just noticed that a number of MLB.TV games are available at no extra cost on my Amazon Prime account. Does anyone know if this is just a trial or something new? I haven't seen any announcements post anywhere.

Has anyone else started having problems with expanded blackouts? I'm in Rhode Island and I've always been able to put on a Yankees or Mets game just fine, we're not in the NY market. But in the past two nights both the app and the website have blacked me out from their games, and it's not a case of the games being broadcast nationally or anything like that. Weird thing is, if I put my zip code into their blackout checker they tell me I'm only blacked out for the Sox (as expected).

For baseball blackouts I'm in the zone for Atlanta (5+ hour drive), Houston(8 hours), Texas(9 hours), Tampa(8 hours), Miami(11 hours). Realistically there are only Braves fans here in any sort of numbers. That works out to close to a quarter of the season of Red Sox games that get blacked out for me. I don't remember being blacked out of this many teams until this year.

I’m in RI as well, no such issues with black outs beyond the Red Sox, for obvious reasons.

Is anyone else being inundated with Oris watch commercials on MLB Tv? I mean every break on every game, sometimes two or three times during one break. Is this a targeted add because I bought a watch on Amazon recently or is everyone getting this?
I need to mute the sound because the jingle is literally torturing me. A few weeks ago, it was some kind of PSA about saving power in California, non stop.
