Anyone else finding that the ads are substantially louder than the actual game? There's a Jose Altuve ad that keeps playing that makes me jump every time.
If your needs aren't great, you can get a refurbished iPad Air starting at $279 for the 16GB model. I'm guessing since you were using an original model that one from 2013 should be more than capable for you You can also get the iPad Air 2 refurbished for $339. Both of those should receive software updates for a good long time.MLB At Bat finally stopped working on my first gen iPad. This despite their website saying it would work with version 6.4.1 running on iOS 5. Guess it's time to find a new device.
My budget doesn't allow for that much. Literally the only thing I use the iPad for is watching Sox games. It's unfortunate that the old app just stopped working. It's too bad MLB At Bat doesn't work on a Kindle Fire. That's more in my price range. If your needs aren't great, you can get a refurbished iPad Air starting at $279 for the 16GB model. In that case, there might be an Android tablet out there that would meet your needs... maybe check eBay for a Nexus 9. You should be able to get one of those for well under $200 I'd imagine. In fact I have one I might be parting with soon, will send you a PM if you're interested. My budget doesn't allow for that much. Literally the only thing I use the iPad for is watching Sox games. Shoot me a PM with a price. I'm in the market for something ASAP because I have to have something to watch. In that case, there might be an Android tablet out there that would meet your needs... maybe check eBay for a Nexus 9. Nope. In digging, though, I realized that mac app seems to just be some beta, developmental project thing that isn't an official release (in fact, I couldn't even find a way to re-download it). And since the problem seems to be specific to it, I'm not holding my breath on it getting fixed.Anybody else finding that it's impossible to turn closed captioning off? Happens to me both on the Mac app and on the iPad. I've tried turning it on and off, I've tried restarting, I've tried updating...
ETA: Looks like @finnVT had the same problem on the last page. So it's not just me. Anyone found a solution?
This sounds right. I tried the Mac MLB app last season and couldn't figure out how to get the CC to go away, even when turned off. I stopped using it and just used a browser to access MLB.tv.Nope. Why not try a Fire Stick?Shoot me a PM with a price. I'm in the market for something ASAP because I have to have something to watch.
Oh that's a great idea. As long has you have a semi-modern tv and don't mind only watching there, that's a cheap and easy optionWhy not try a Fire Stick?
In case you don't mind the small screen, a good smartphone can work.I have a Fire Stick and a PS4. The problem is that I like to watch games while my wife watches tv or while I play PS4. The iPad was the perfect solution to this problem until now.

I have this on the Mac app but not the iPad. The Mac app is a beta though (and no longer supported, at that).Anybody else finding that it's impossible to turn closed captioning off? It works on my kindle fire. I just watched a few seconds of both a live game and an archived one.My budget doesn't allow for that much. Chrome has its own included version of Flash, so you can use Safari flashless for general browsing, and then open pages in Chrome when you require Flash.I have this on the Mac app but not the iPad. The Mac app is a beta though (and no longer supported, at that).
Hopefully they'll release a new Mac client at some point this season, because I'm not installing Flash.
(I know, this isnt the Tech Bargains thread) Walmart lowered their price on new iPad Airs 16gb to $249:If your needs aren't great, you can get a refurbished iPad Air starting at $279 for the 16GB model. Thanks, that works perfectly!Double tap the center of the screen works for me if you are still having the issue
Does this on game from the archive too. Fucking annoying.Every half inning, MLB.TV reverts back to the start of game. Need to manually slide things to live feed (live click doesn't work).
Minor pain in the ass.
It does this when you have an adblocker on. When mlbtv can't load the ad, it freaks out and restarts. I'm hoping the adblockers can work around this somehow eventually.Does this on game from the archive too. Fucking annoying.
