Laptop will not Power on

Lenovo t440s.  My laptop will not power on.   Nothing happens when I press the power button down for an extended period of time.  The F1, F4 and FN buttons all are lit on the keyboard, but no response whatsoever.  The laptop is fully charged.   Any ideas?

Battery may be loose. Take the battery completely out and wait 20 minutes. Reinsert battery and plug in AC electrical adapter. Then press the on/off button and see if it powers up.

Page 6 of your manual: disconnect from AC power and using paperclip hit the emergency reset on the bottom.

I can't find any emergency reset.  Am I just a dummy?    Moreover, it doesn't work with or without the AC power button, unlike the issues noted in the link you sent.

No it's not normal and it could be all sorts of things. How old is this laptop ? What OS are you running ?

2 year old Lenovo Thinkpad T440S.   Chrome and IE and sometimes Firefox
 
Confirming my ignorance.   Did you mean Windows 8?   That's what I have.

Thank you Couperin47.   This has happened 3x in the last 6 weeks and I don't know that there is any remedy to it at this point, but the reset has worked each of the 3x
