Seems totally unnecessary. Also, is it the worst thing in the world if people say mean things to Kyrie on the street?
Coming into the series I summarized that Dallas on O would be playing 2 on 5 and on D they’d be playing 3 on 5. That simple assessment has come to fruition big time. The only two guys Brad would want off of the Mavs roster are possibly PJ, in the Hauser role and Lively, in the Kornet role. The best back court in the history of the game trope is even more far fetched now than it was leading up to the Finals. Kyrie has been invisible so far in the series shooting 35% from the floor and 0% from 3 with TS of 37%. The Dallas back court has turned the ball over 17 times through two games compared with 3 for Boston. Neither Kyrie or Luka can play defense. Whoever said Dallas has the two best players in the series has a fair amount of egg on their face. Kyrie will probably play better with the series returning to Dallas as it is nearly impossible for him to play worse. Insignificant is the best way to describe his play through two games.
Through two games, I'm not sure anyone could put Kyrie higher than 6th overall, and I might drop him to 7th or even 8th, behind KP and Al.The best back court in the history of the game trope is even more far fetched now than it was leading up to the Finals. I have tickets for that game. I’m obviously rooting for a sweep, but if they drop one in Dallas, we will greet Irving with the attention he’s requesting.I mean if he wants to come back to watch the Celtics celebrate at home that's cool.
Does he think he's getting a Bourque parade?I mean if he wants to come back to watch the Celtics celebrate at home that's cool.
Amazing line.Does he think he's getting a Bourque parade?
Totally agree. It's been nice but odd wondering how Luka and Dallas' bigs will do coming up the court and Kyrie is an afterthought.I find myself not thinking about Kyrie at all. Like not even during the game. I am at peace with that.
Handlez are the new Pointz.Totally agree. It's been nice but odd wondering how Luka and Dallas' bigs will do coming up the court and Kyrie is an afterthought.
I am sure people have numbers to back up why I am wrong here, but I find myself thinking that Kyrie is still a good player who hit his ceiling a few years ago and whose reputation is getting a lot of mileage from one shot in 2016. He's no longer the elite guy he once was and certainly isn't a scrub, but is now overrated.
Ummm you do know who the new owner of the Mavs are right? The NBA refused to let her be governor so ESPN doesn't talk about it at all.I’m kind of stunned he’s been able to keep his mouth shut about Jews this season.
if they get swept I wonder if he’ll suddenly have a lot of opinions on the war.
What's the link with Luka?I wonder if she gets Luka to bolt as well.
Yes, a condition of her majority ownership stake is she cannot ever become governor (they used the gambling as the excuse I believe to avoid it is about the politics of it). Even there, the NBA suggested keeping Cuban around. If the Mavs lose Game 3, there could a fantastic show in Game 4So she is not technically "governor", it's her son in law?
He’s actually been pretty engaged in that discussion, posting frequently about it online. As early as October 11th he called out “tough talking media heads” who “get on TV and social platforms to condemn people who stand by the oppressed” but ignore when “crimes are being committed against humanity”.I’m kind of stunned he’s been able to keep his mouth shut about Jews this season.

Pablo Torre actually has a podcast about this out today coincidentallyYes, a condition of her majority ownership stake is she cannot ever become governor (they used the gambling as the excuse I believe to avoid it is about the politics of it). What does this mean?..
I don't even want to get into how Tatum has been treated like he's the singular form of the early 90s Trailblazers.
I loved that clip not just for the great defense, but the Celtics crowd sounds like a bullfight crowd with the equivalent of waves of "olé!" sounding reactions.
The narrative about the 90 - 92 Blazers was that they were the most talented team but they were mentally weak. What does this mean?
Found the play on an Awful Coaching video (2:49)I was drinking, but I recall a surprising sequence by Pritchard on Kyrie where he smothered him into a contested baseline J that was missed.
Pritchard > Irving
That's a painful listen. I can't comment on whether the coaching is awful or not, but the analyst is a living embodiment of "a face for radio and a voice for print".Found the play on an Awful Coaching video
Yes, that's Exasperated Guy, whose videos are normally segregated to his own thread for just the reason you cite, i.e. the whole making-your-ears-bleed thingThat's a painful listen. He’s not saying with his mouth anything but he is still making a statement.I’m kind of stunned he’s been able to keep his mouth shut about Jews this season.

I think the one he is carrying is a spare. Someone did a really bad job of removing whatever he was wearing on his head.So you visibly carry it outside your bag so people can see it, but don’t wear it?
He was exceptional. The D on him was incredible.Kyrie was really good tonight, but a loss is a loss.
Not looking good right nowThe man has got predictions

Didn't look good to start with. Your flex is that you're going to lose in 5?Not looking good right now
I tried watching the game on delay and saw the first quarter without spoilers. Then I took my kids to school and the big Estonian guy here said "Go Cs!" Then I got a congratulatory note from a local Czech. I might have to wake up for Game 4. On the other hand, I would have thrown up in the fourth.Someone wake up @jose melendez to update the title
Until the end when our friend Kyrie missed his 3!I tried watching the game on delay and saw the first quarter without spoilers. My condolences. Ze Frau and I woke up (by chance) around 4:30am local time and staggered out of bed to watch the last 10 min of regulation, joining at exactly the time the lead collapsed from 21 to 2. Then we tried to go to bed and spent the next few hours skittering over the surface of REM sleep.I tried watching the game on delay and saw the first quarter without spoilers. I thought the difference was pretty clear: he just made his threes, particularly the contested ones. He had a few nice assists but still wasn't facilitating at a high level. His finishing at the rim has been good all series. This was Kyrie's "hey look I'm still great game" but I still don't feel like how he was playing really scared the Cs.He was exceptional. The D on him was incredible.

Like like like.Kyrie showing that role players play better at home.
