Nooooooooooo!

Really afraid at what else dealin' Danny might throw in in this trade. Even if it's "just" IT plus Crowder, I worry that might make the Cs a bit worse and the Cavs a bit better. And I'm assuming the Cavs are also angling for one of the picks or Jaylen/Jayson...

Please don't trade any of Brown/Tatum/Brooklyn/Sixers

thanks.

IT+Memphis+filler please.

and even that may be too much (depending how bad Memphis free falls)

Sources: Boston, Cleveland nearing deal on Kyrie Irving, but details still working to completion. Isaiah Thomas, Crowder, pick(s) in talks.

This would be absolutely wonderful news. Talk about selling at the top on IT if they do it.

They don't have any filler to trade unless you consider Crowder filler

I thought the current state of IT's hip was still a pretty big question mark. Could he even pass a physical right now?

Here
IT, Crowder, and Philly pick would be just fine. Less excited if it's Brooklyn.

Celtics are about to get a top 10 talent who plays out of the world on the biggest stage. All I can think about is what he did against the warriors the last two years. The shots he made. I love Thomas so much but wow

I hate Kyrie's game. Loathe it. Does Stevens change or have a significant impact on his game?

Top ten talent... As in top ten PG? He is nowhere close to top ten in the NBA. That said.... Sell high on IT. I live it

Don't see it happening, Danny just checking on the market:
1. How desperate the Cavs want to move Kyrie (as desperate as Indy was to move PG?)
2. see IT and Smart's market values, which could have some influence on the contracts they offer next year
3. See what players on his roster the Cavs also desire and the price they put on them: Rozier? Jaylen? Smart? Tatum? draft picks?

Ball dies in his hands, takes 42 dribbles to get to the rim, doesn't play defense like at all. Antithesis of the direction I thought Boston was moving in beyond IT.

He is absolutely a top 10 player. Name someone else who could do what he did to the warriors. He scored at WILL. you can't replace that. People underrate him too much because of the D. Lebron kawhi KD Curry Russ Harden CP3 AD Kyrie Greek Freak would be my top 10.

He doesn't play defense often, but he CAN when he puts in the effort. IT, on the other hand...

I'm all for it if it's just IT4, Crowder and a lesser pick or Zizic. Or both, really. I'd rather they not trade Nets/Sixers picks.

The pros and cons have been debated on here already, but the thing with Kyrie is that he can be a better defender. And he is better in the playoffs, when it counts. IT will never get better on D. He'll always be a major liability. Kyrie is also younger and under contract for an additional year. As long as the extra pieces aren't outrageous, I'll take the gamble.

With that said I'm going to hate watching IT play with LeBron. I loved the way he embraced Boston and carried this team.

Edit: I'll also add that I never thought Danny would make this move, because (not knowing the pieces yet) the cost of acquiring Kyrie was going to be exactly what CLE needed to stay competitive. IT replaces Kyrie's scoring and LeBron covers for him on D. Crowder gives them a quality wing. Zizic would give them a young big with some upside. And I think the C's need to add another contract to make it work.

I highly doubt Nets pick is in play here. Decent chance Sac/LA one isn't either or, if it is, it'll have protection.

FTR, I'm not in favor of hanging on to IT. I'm ok with trading IT as I don't care much for his game either. To me, Kyrie is IT but a few years younger. The only way I'll end up liking this trade is if Brad can convince Kyrie to

1. Play defense
2. Pass the damn ball
3. Become more efficient in his drives.

IF that happens, then the Cs just got a top-12 player. But, for now, they're trading assets for a top-25 player, maybe top-30.

Don't see him in top 10, more like top 20.
Somewhere in the mix with CP3, Paul George, Butler, Lillard, KAT, Wall, Lowry, Hayward, Gobert.

Plus, Kyrie wanted to go be the MAN somewhere. Will that happen in Boston? Hard to say with Hayward there.

Kyrie is a stone cold killer, just don't include Tatum, Brown and the Brooklyn pick.

No way CP3 and Wall and Butler and... are on the same plane as Kyrie.

All right I've ranted enough... for now.

Yeah this guy is maybe top 30. I can't believe some people. Boston finally gets an insanely good superstar and people are complaining?

Wow, I mean I watched what Kyrie did to Klay in the finals but did anyone else?

Woj is reporting IT, Crowder and Zizic on ESPN right now. No picks.

Edit: I take it back, now they added "Would also get draft picks." I can't imagine it would be the Brooklyn or Philly picks. If it is, it's too much. If it's not, I'm all aboard.
