Is there anything more annoying than the Ole chant?

Imagine if Spain did that. They are at least a team that "theoretically" passes the ball around and through their opponents.
Mexico fans are doing it while passing the ball uncontested between center backs...
It used to be done only late in a game when they were in the lead and playing keep away. It actually made sense then. This recent trend of starting that chant in the opening minute is a little embarrassing.

I think William is preferred to costa since hes a bit more industrious and willing to track back. Its risky to play with three guys up top who cant put a tackle in. Just a theory

Somewhat against the weight of the evidence, I’m picking Brazil to win this tournament. So far, they have not shown the chemistry or talent associated with Brazil teams. However, they have shown a level of organization and preparation that you also don’t associate with Brazil. It might take them a couple of extra time games, but I think a light switch is going to go off, and I think they’re going to be able to break teams down.

Which, of course, means they are about to lose dos a cero.

I googled after asking and it seems Costa is still injured. Willian may be more industrious but he can't seem to beat anyone off the dribble anymore. Whether it's Neymar/Jesus or Neymar/Firmino with Coutinho supporting them they'd all be much better served with the right side of the pitch not being such a black hole of uselessness. Brazil really aren't risking that much with both Paulinho and Casemiro on the pitch.

Personally, I think Firmino is probably better for this Brazil side if they have to choose but most of the problem is Neymar. They force it to him and he often forces the play leaving his teammates as mere garbagemen. I'd love to see Brazil play with both Firmino and Jesus but it appears from thei group stage they've ore or less settled on a shape and have mostly made like for like changes

Mexico came out flat. This is the worst defending I have seen from them during the WC.

Was Jesus onside? I think he was involved in active play.

Edit: Everyone clearly on.

Ten back for Brazil. Unconcerned about needing an outlet. They will just dribble out of problems.

That's a big yellow on Casemiro.

Brazil turning the screws as Willian comes to life. Either I am an idiot or I correctly identified the problem, you guys decide :)

They are just throwing Neymar around. This is where his repurptation makes him unsympathetic.

Brazil's defense has been stellar today. Mexico is playing really well in midfield, but almost all of their chances are getting shut down immediately.
